The labor that cried wolf....

Let me preface this by saying he can stay in there until the middle of April for all I care as long as he is healthy, but these HARD contractions EVERY NIGHT for HOURS AND HOURS must stop!!!!!!!!! I have been having contractions every night for at least 3 or 4 hours. I swear, I'm going to go into labor and totally write it off as this crap, and I'm not gonna get my waterbirth. I know it seems silly in the grand scheme of things, but we really are not prepared for a home birth, and I would rather not have one. I LOVE my birthcenter. But if this keeps up the way it has been how the heck am I supposed to know when I'm really in labor before it's too late?! Sheesh.

I'm sure it will work it's self out, but this is getting seriously irritating!

Good heavens...that WOULD be annoying (and confusing). Here's hoping you get some unmistakeable sign when it's the real thing!

I had that with my first, and I really feel for you! It is a hard thing to go thru, especially when they won't let you get any sleep. What I can tell you is that the biggest difference I felt was pretty ethereal...its hard to explain I just knew I was finally getting somewhere with the contractions. I wish I could be more help...but about 5 days after the contractions started at around midnight I just felt different. The contractions were the same, but I just knew. I think you'll know and I truly hope it doesn't go on much longer for you. Get as much rest as you can!

The same thing has been happening with me for at least a week or two now. I'm just hoping when it is the real thing, I'm gonna KNOW. Last night I felt like I had contractions constantly all night long. Then today, I've had maybe 3-5 all day long. I know the second I lay down to sleep, they'll start up again. Ugh. I'm just trying to get a nap in during the day, as I can only imagine the exhaustion that's going to set in after these babes are born. Here's hoping you & I both deliver shortly (happy, healthy babies all around, of course! )

This is too funny....I was JUST telling my DH a few hours ago that I feel like when I REALLY go into labor I'm going to write it off and end up having the baby at home because it's been crying wolf for so long. I have been having false labor for like 12 days now. I had CX's for 9 hours yesterday....starting out at 10-12 min, then 8-10, then 6, then 5 and then *poof* they were GONE! So frustrating!

I am having them again right now, and they are getting pretty painful so we'll see!
