Why does my machine hate me?

Okay, I know it's probably something I've done to anger the sewing god. Did I not oil completely? I offer it a new needle consistantly, and made sure the tension was good and comfortable for it. So why does it hate me? It's doing this on the bottom side, and its almost snipping the thread and looping. My online fabric order went to the wrong person. My other fabric order has yet to arrive. I would like to post some new items on my Etsy shop, but it's like the forces of nature are telling me "No, go fold the laundry and do the dishes instead"

Is it just happening with this fabric? Am I right to see that this is a slightly heavy fabric(looks like it in the photo)?

Are you using the right needle size/type?

Could the tension on your bobbin casing have gotten wonky somehow? Maybe the screw got turned and it is slightly too tight. Though I don't generally recommend it, you could test the bobbin casing tension and adjust if needed or take it to a shop to have the tech look at it/ test it. I now have two casings for my bobbin, one I can mess with for machine embroidery and one I leave at the manufacturer default.

To test to see if it is too tight, put the bobbin in and thread it through the casing like you normally would. Hang a 2 oz weight(your rotary cutter might fit the bill) to the bobbin thread. In general, a good tension would let the thread slip when you jerk the thread. If it doesn't slip, then your casing tension is too tight. If it doesn't hold tight at all but just completely slips to the floor, then your tension is too loose.

Don't know if this will solve the problem. I definately know it won't fix the mis-shipped fabric dilemna

Of course, if your machine is on a 28-day cycle like most of us, it just might be PMS(Pissy Machine Syndrome)

Well, I just tried it and checked the screw, tried sewing some other fabric, same thing. Looks like it's off to the shop. This machine is less than a year old so If it's not my fault I'm hoping it's under warrenty
