Has anyone here had a successful Homebirth after a C Section?
I've had 3 kids, first two were vaginal births and the last one ended up being breech, they couldn't get an epidural into me for a version and I ended up in a C Section....I ended up being beyond upset.(I wanted a HB with the last one, but insurance wouldn't cover it) We want to have another and we'd like a Homebirth.

Hi,
I am planning a HBAC with our third child. First was a c/s, second a hosp VBAC. There are alot of moms who have HBAC. Check out the main ICAN website and join the email group its very high volume though. www.ican-online.org. The VBAC section here has some HBAC moms on it. There is also a yahoo group for HBAC moms.

I don't have personal experience with HBAC but my friend had a C-sec with her first and then went on to have two homebirths. It can be done. By the way, I had a version with my second and I never had to have an epidural. Was it because you were already in labor? I had my version 3 weeks before I had him so maybe that was the difference? Blessings....

A friend of mine had a c/s for her first because of breech presentation, then her second was a breech home VBAC.

It can definitely be done!

Go for it!!

A friend of mine just had a breech HBAC last week after having cesareans with her other two kids (both for malpositions - first transverse, second breech). She had had a couple of versions in the weeks before going into labor, but even the one that "worked" didn't stick. The baby came out perfectly - feet first like he was going down a slide!

I got so excited telling you about my friend that I forgot about myself! I'm currently planning a HBAC for later on this summer. My last baby wasn't breech, but if this one is it won't stop me!

I'm planning a hbac for the end of this summer. I deliverred dd naturally in the hospital, then deliverred a set of twins (surrogacy) naturally in the hospital, then was forced to have a c-section with the second set of twins I carried (another surrogacy). Baby A was actually crowning when they started the section. If I'dve known I was that close I would have been pushing while I was waiting for the spinal LOL. I am totally looking forward to having a hbac this time!

My 1st was a breech c-section.

My 2nd birth was a home waterbirth. It all went very well. I have a hand off midwife that really respected my ability to birth. Her confidence gave me confidence.
