How to get him out?

Ugh! How do I get this baby out? Any herbs to take other that EPO? We are dtd every day, and I'm pumping a couple times a day (I actually have some colostrum stored now - I get about half an ounce every time - I'm taking it with me in case they need to supplement him because of the GD).

My doc will not VBAC with me over 8.5 lb and he is measuring 8 lb on sono now. I need to get something going because I do not want another section!

Any suggestions?

I am trying for a VBAC too, so I know how you feel, but you are not due until the 20th of April right? Why does baby need to come now? Is the doc saying he is already too big? I think I would try to relax for a little longer, easier said than done I know. But maybe he just isn't ready yet. Also how will doc know if baby is over 8.5 lbs, ultrasounds are notoriously wrong when estimating weight. If he scheduled me for a section, I would be tempted not to show up.

I've been having a sonogram every Monday for 7 weeks due to high bp and gestational diabetes. So they are consistently measuring large, and the growth is even. I've had 2 vag deliveries, but my biggest was 5 lb 7 oz. My doc is out of town this week, so I won't see him until next Thursday, but I know they will be pushing me for a c/s at that point.

And I need to correct the due date. It is actually the
6th (my first sono didn't match my LMP, all my others have, which gives me a date of the 4/6).

ETA: Sorry just saw that you're already doing that.

Am no help at all. Sorry

LOTS of sex? And try to get the semen as close to your cervix as possible, for the prostaglandins to take effect.

EPO won't do squat to start labor -- just softens your cervix.

Pumping's the only other thing but it sounds like that's not working for you (and it's notorious for the effects wearing off).

Sorry you're in a bind and until you said you had gestational diabetes, I was with the txgal with the whole just don't show up thing.

But the diabetes can contribute to a much larger baby -- though typically more than 8lbs, surely.

Anyway it's up to you -- your body -- but sex is the best advice I can offer in terms of kickstarting things.

Good luck!
