I haven't really done anything specifically for this baby yet. Okay I did get the bin of newborn diapers out and sorted through them quickly. I established that I am going to need a few more since I sold off some.
Other than that... not much but some brainstorming in my head. Oh I did order replacement sets of wool breast pads since DH's "goop" ruined
: my other 2 pairs.
The bassinet is still next to my side of the bed... it is currently filled with all the pillows from our bed though.
Guess I should stop putting them there and maybe wash and put the sheets/blankets on it.
I did recently see the Miracle Blanket that I used with Aidan (I think its mixed in with a few of my nursing shirts that are in a bin in my closet.
DH is "supposedly" moving his stuff out of his office/4th bedroom and I'm going to be setting up the baby's stuff i.e. clothes, cloth diapers and such up in there soon. But she'll still be sleeping in our bedroom for a while so I'm not totally rushed yet.
I'm sure once I'm closer to my due date I'll get the fire under me.
Right now I've been concentrating on getting stuff together for the yard sale on Saturday, finished up with the birthday parties two weekends ago, and getting the house situated to host playgroup in 1.5 weeks. Oh and for the past day I've been ripping our CD collection onto the computer so I can sell off a ton of the CDs in the yard sale.
A friend recently asked me what I needed for Baby#4... the only thing I knew was a few more diapers and another Miracle Blanket (for when the other is in the wash!!). Really don't *need* any clothes (still have a ton from the previous 3 babies). I actually found that the best things for newborns are Zipper sleepers (love the HannaAndersson ones
) and sleepsack gowns. Snaps on sleepers are INSANE!!! Who's got enough brainpower at 2am to get the snaps to back matchup??? Zippers or elastic bottom sleepers are the only way to go.
Who needs tons of "outfits"??? Most of the time you don't leave the house a whole lot and most newborns don't like having their clothes taken off. With the occasionally exception of a rare blowout or spitup, I got to where I only changed both boys "PJs" every night when I got them ready for "bedtime". They wore them all day long and were perfectly happy. I'd dress them in an outfit if we went out but otherwise... sleepers at the way to go.
Since we live in Texas and deal with a lot of A/C (DH likes to keep the house cool) I always dress the kids warmly. If you don't have chilly issues... then definitely go with the Kimono t-shirts. I personally hate onesies because we use cloth diapers and most of the time they can cause wicking or compression wetness.
Oh the EarthMama Angel Baby stuff is AWESOME! I used it with Aidan and its great. I need to check if I'll need more of anything but I'm pretty sure I've still got enough.
