I'm getting totally paranoid

DS is 14 months old. He had shots in the hospital, then at his two-month wellbaby visit and hasn't had anything since. I've been doing more and more research into vaccines and now I'm totally paranoid that he's going to have some long-term problem because of these early vaccines. It's probably just me, because I also keep worrying about him developing problems because of all the formula the nurses gave him in the hospital (without my permission: ).

Does anyone else get weirdly paranoid like this?

I don't think it's paranoid. I think you it's perfectly normal to be worried about your baby. In fact, it's quit healthy to be worried.
I would just keep gathering information and educating yourself and figure out a "gameplan" of sorts to deal with any problems/issues that may occur.


You learned your child was injected with poisons, now it's your time to help heal him, kwim?
Same as if you learned he ate a handful of aspirin or any other toxic chemical, you are a mama and it's healthy and normal to worry and want your child to be okay.

Yes I get paranoid like that. Didn't help with the post-partum depression either.

Sounds like we had similar experiences. My daughter is turning 5 this year. She had her first two sets of shots and was forced formula by the hospital too. I so wish I could take them back. Fortunitly se is very healthy.

Strangly, the more I meet people who think I am a village idiot for not vaccinating etc. the more I am able to forgive myself. This mom thing involves a lot of learning. We've come a long way baby!

I wish, I wish, I wish I would have known what I know now 10 years ago. Actually 20 or 30 years ago.

But I can't go back, so I will have to do the best from now on. Same for you. Don't blame yourself for not knowing back then what you know now. Keep learning, there is a lot more out there that you probably should be informed about. But don't be paranoid, it serves no purpose.
