What would cause a 7 year old boy with a fever to have a seizure? I wonder as a b-day party was canceled because the guest of honor had one.

This book feels good in your hands. The paper is heavyweight, and the illustrations flow perfectly.

Febrile seizures aren't totally uncommon in children, less so in adults, I believe. The major issue seems to stem from a fever spiking too rapidly or coming down too quickly...a significant temperature change in a short amount of time. Seven-years old sounds a bit on the upper end of "young child," but not outside of the realm of normalcy.

My son had febrile convulsions until he was 9. They are harmless enough, just his temp was probably pretty high(my sons normally go up to 105)
