sewing knits for baby clothing

I want to make some knit (fabric) shorts for DS. I don't have a serger. So, how do I sew them on my sewing machine to where the fabric won't unravel? Any other advice?

Try a french seam or a felled seam.

You can do the seam in a narrow zigzag, then finish the seam by doing a wide zigzag over both seam allowances, together, then press to one side.

A great resource for sewing knit baby clothes is Kwik Sews seing for babies and sewing for toddlers. They give lots of tips for cottons/knits.

Have fun!
