I know this is going to sound goofy....but I'm worried that I'm not giving Luke the attention he deserves. He's just so content to always be with us, either being worn or sitting up in his highchair watching the goings-on like when Aaron and I do art projects. He's always following big brother around to tumbling class, parties, preschool, etc. I am taking a 3-week yoga class with him. But - he is always smiling, happy and content (seriously - always!) Should I take this as my cue that I'm doing fine? Or is there more playing, etc. I should be doing with him? Seriously, I don't remember from Aaron....

you have a smiling, happy, content baby and you are questioning whether he is happy? oh, the joys of motherhood!!
you are doing fine..actually i think 2nd etc. babies get so much more stimulation b/c of their older siblings..we worry so much about the first ones and "doing things" with them...but the 2nd etc. ones dont get that b/c we are busy with both or more than one...but they have siblings...and all that you are exposing him to (your other son's activities, etc.). He is learning so much more than you realize and you are doing great!!! per your own words, "he's happy, smiling and content". what more could a mother ask for? (well, perhaps a week of no guilt about anything would be good, huh?)

I had a friend visiting me last week and she actually went out and bought me a book called "Mommy Guilt" to help set me straight. Now I'm not exactly in sync with the authors and all of their ideas, but anyway, the sentiment is perfect, Rachael! Now, on to feeling guilty about feeling guilty while meanwhile our bubbly babies are sleeping and smiling away...
Honestly, I think that maybe the second ones just have it easier than the first ones. My DD is just so easy going and happy too.
