Hi Ladies,
So, I had a repeat C-Section 2 1/2 weeks ago and a couple days ago I noticed a small lump/knot underneath one area of my incision. Has anyone else ever experienced this? What was the outcome? It doesn't hurt at all, in fact, I don't even notice it's there (not even discomfort or anything). My 2 week post-op appointment went well and the OB said I should massage a section of the incision area because it had a little skin pucker area, he said it would smooth out as the incision heals....ANYHOW, upon feeling around the whole incision site I discovered the lump. The incision site itself is doing well, no infection, no opening etc...
My internet research indicates it could be three things: 1) Simply a lump...somewhat common I guess, could be a scar tissue thing....would eventually heal on it's own (I hoping it's that). 2) A seroma - build up of fluid behind the incision site. (This would suck!) 3) hernia - self explanatory, I would think it would be uncomfortable or painful at this site though? (this would also suck).
I'll call the office this week and have him check it out for peace of mind, I really don't want to have to have another procedure to open it, drain it and let it heal from the inside out. *sigh*.
So, anyone ever have this?
