Why not get to know each other a little better??

1. What's your due date? Nov. 25th, 2006
2. How old are you? 21
3. Where do you live? (whatever you are comfortable sharing) Cincinnati, Ohio
4. What is/are your favorite movie(s)? Raising Helen and any Harry Potter
5. How many children do you have/do you want to have? I currently have 1 son, and I want to have as many as God has planned for me
6. What is/are your favorite book(s) or author(s)? Louisa May Alcott, Little Women
7. What are your favorite lullabies/ what will you sing to your baby? I sing the books of the Old Testament to him, he loves it
8. What are your favorite books for babies/children? I really like this book "Houses around the world" put out by the national geographic society
9. What do you do for a living/what do you wish you did? SAHM and loving it!
10. What kind of music do you like? blues, jazz, rock, pop, classical
11. What is your favorite food? (pregnant and non-pregnant) non pg-pizza, pg- meatloaf (yeah, I'm weird)

13. What is your favorite thing about yourself? I am naively compassionate, I love anyone with a sob story

17. What is your ideal birth story for this baby? a max of 10 hours, home/water birth after c-section, I won't be scared at all, pushing for max of 2 hours, peaceful throughout, I won't scream or get frustrated, or be mean to anyone, lol
18. If you were designing your dream nursery right now, what would you do? Baby Snoopy or Winnie the Pooh
19. What kinds of pets do you have? 1 cat- Sammy (tuxedo cat)

5. How many children do you have/do you want to have? I have one son, a step son and this one on the way. if it's a girl, we're done. if not...

8. What are your favorite books for babies/children? We read a lot of books! My son's favorties are informational books about sharks and dinosaurs. I follow his lead
9. What do you do for a living/what do you wish you did? I am a 6th grade bilingual teacher. at some point I'd like to teach at the college level
10. What kind of music do you like? everything, though I am a folky-girl-and -her-guitar fan
11. What is your favorite food? (pregnant and non-pregnant) curries - mostly anything with a spicy kick to it

17. What is your ideal birth story for this baby? unassisted, umcomplicated 4 hour home birth (not likely though)

19. What kinds of pets do you have? a black lab named Peyton (she is my dh's - I accept her, though she gets on my nerves.

17. What is your ideal birth story for this baby? To have a midwife I know in attendance, as well as dh and my kids. To labor without intervention and have everything go smoothly.
18. If you were designing your dream nursery right now, what would you do? We don't do nurseries--our kids have all slept with us until they were older and by then, they had their own ideas about decorating their rooms.
19. What kinds of pets do you have? 1 dog, 2 cats, 4 gerbils, 1 hamster, and a bunch of fish.

4. What is/are your favorite movie(s)? O Brother where Art Thou and the Improtance of Being Earnest and Sliding doors
5. How many children do you have/do you want to have? I have 2 stepsons. this will be my first baby
6. What is/are your favorite book(s) or author(s)? Bruce Brooks "Midnight Hour Encores" It is a young adult book I have loved forever. "When Rabbit Howls" "Magic Circle" (it is a da Vinci Code kind of book) Authors: Dianna Galbradon (sp?) I will read just about anything. I love mystery type books and time travel books.
7. What are your favorite lullabies/ what will you sing to your baby? I am sure I will make stuff up. I make up songs for the dogs now. One of my favorites is "wag your tail if you're happy and you know it" I also sing the name game alot
8. What are your favorite books for babies/children? Pat the bunny and Stinky Cheese man (lots of others my parents are both librarians)
9. What do you do for a living/what do you wish you did? Loan Processor (not real exciting, but I choose it so I could work from home when I had a baby)

17. What is your ideal birth story for this baby? Unassisted Couples Birth which i am planning this time around.

Well we normallyco-sleep so we dont usually do much nursey wise we normally deck it all out for toddler-hood but this time around we will be doing two nursery's as we will be having two babies and dont know how well co-sleeping will go. we are planning this whole rainforest theme with two walls being a huge mural of trees and shrubs and rainforest animals and birds painted all over it for one of them and for the other we havent fully decided yet we are tossing up between a jungle theme and a ocean theme. i will be painting both of them

19. What kinds of pets do you have? 3 golden retrievers, 2 cats, 3 canary's, and 2 children whooops well they act more feral than the other animals most of the time

20. What is one random fact about you that no one could guess by looking at you? I'm a chocoholic, i can seriously eat 4 family blocks(350grams each) of chocolate in one sitting. i only weigh 135lbs soaking wet so it shocks people when they hear about it.

5. How many children do you have/do you want to have? I have 3 boys now, and really hope that this babe is the last that God has planned for me

If you were designing your dream nursery right now, what would you do? we don't *do* the nursery thing, babe sleeps with us till at least a year, so I guess it would be a nice, quiet, calm place that babe and I could go together to get away from the rest of the family. a big comfy futon, soothing music, and a jacuzzi tub lol

6. What is/are your favorite book(s) or author(s)? You know I don't have a favorite....I'm like that with everything. I guess my favorite would be the one I'm most interested in at the moment & that would have to be Jeanne Rose, both her Aromatherapy book & 375 Essential Oils & Hydrosols.
7. What are your favorite lullabies/ what will you sing to your baby? I sing Popcorn Popping on the Apricot Tree & Jesus Wants Me For a Sunbeam....he gets the biggest kick out of his brother acting out the parts!

17. What is your ideal birth story for this baby? a shorter labor than my last (about 5-6 hours from active to delivery), born at home with daddy (maybe) catching this time, no back labor!!, & all goes really smoothly with no scares
18. If you were designing your dream nursery right now, what would you do? ooh, I don't know....maybe butterflies or frogs, depending on the sex of the baby.....but I don't do nursery's anyway.....just a wasted space since baby wouldn't use it

7. What are your favorite lullabies/ what will you sing to your baby? I don't know the names of any. Mostly my boys dictate what I sing these days, it will be fun to get to choose myself with the new baby.
8. What are your favorite books for babies/children? I love the book "Everywhere Babies" and my boys are pretty into the Alfie books (by Shirley Hughes) these days. They also love the nonfiction dinosaur/shark/etc. books, but I really don't like reading those ones.
9. What do you do for a living/what do you wish you did? I'm a SAHM too. I'd love to be an IBCLC (lactation consultant) eventually.
10. What kind of music do you like? folk-rock mostly
11. What is your favorite food? (pregnant and non-pregnant) Non-pg: Indian food, PG: absolutely nothing is my favorite. I only have aversions, no cravings.

5. How many children do you have/do you want to have? We have one son - I would like 4 kids (if not more... DH would be happy with 3)
6. What is/are your favorite book(s) or author(s)? A Tree Grows In Brooklyn by Betty Smith. I like most of Beverly Lewis/Francine Rivers works.
7. What are your favorite lullabies/ what will you sing to your baby? We sing a song we made up while I was expecting my son (nose, nose, chin) - and when he's fussy, I'll sing whatever I can think of... from hymns/parts of our liturgy to commercial jingles from my childhood
8. What are your favorite books for babies/children? We have a really varried selection - I let my son pick his favorites. I've collected kids books since college for the artwork. Some I'd like to add are A Ride On Mother's Back, I'm Made of Mama's Milk, Breastmilk Makes My Tummy Yummy
9. What do you do for a living/what do you wish you did?Full-time Life Coach, Waitress, Maid... I'm a SAHM and LOVING it!

14. What is your favorite beauty secret? I don't use soap on my face - ever. Warm water and a wash cloth, and occasionally a moisturizer if I **really** need it

16. What is your favorite form of exercise? swimming... I really miss it - especially water aerobics
17. What is your ideal birth story for this baby? I would love a homebirth, but that's not going to happen this time. That aside, I'd love a repeat of my son's birth - a little less pushing, and no crappy nurse that wouldn't let me carry my own baby to the front door of the hospital (I was exhausted after not sleeping for 3 days - I know better now)
18. If you were designing your dream nursery right now, what would you do? The baby will be in our room for at minimum 6 months - our son was in our room until 9.5 months. The crib in his room has Winnie the Pooh bedding: we wanted something gender neutral so it would be used by all our kids regardless of their gender.
19. What kinds of pets do you have? 1 cat- Patches
20. What is one random fact about you that no one could guess by looking at you? I live in a very non-crunchy area... so people think I'm just like them. They'd think I'm just like them... and they'd be SO wrong!

4. What is/are your favorite movie(s)? Harry Potter movies and Lord of the Rings triology
5. How many children do you have/do you want to have? I currently have 3. 2 DS and 1 DD. We'd like 6 kids, maybe more. I guess time will tell.

17. What is your ideal birth story for this baby? If it follows any of my other 3 births I'll be happy. All were born at home. Very fast labors. No tears during pushing and it only took 2-3 pushes. My longest labor was 4 hours long, my last was 1 hour 45 minutes. Hopefully nohting under 1 hour just cuse I'd like my midwife to make it here on time.
