Testing for blockage--had a c-sect (xpost w TTC)

We had our first apptmnt with ER yesterday, and he wants to test me for blocked tubes. We have basically unexplained infertility (although DH had some low counts in early SA, but they are up).

I have felt no physical symptoms, have not complaints, but the RE wants to test my tubes for blockage since I did have a C-sect almost 5 yrs ago. We have the option of HSG or Lap, but since insurance only pays half, I would go for HSG as it is the cheaper of the two.

My question--has anyone here suffered blockage due to scarring from C-sect? Or know anyone who has?

I didnt have a c section but I have had trouble ttc since a m/c in June. My OB recommended the HSG just to rule out any blockages from that. The HSG was very quick and I would call it uncomfortable not painful. I took 600mg of motrin prior to and had no problems. My OB uses it as a "rule out test". I think it took maybe 20min start to finish.
