Link to Mei Tai pattern

Here's the page I found to make a mei tai - its really easy - just a rectangle of cloth, with 4 straight straps. If you can sew a straight line you can make one that works. I used a heavy twill with some lycra stretch in it and it worked superbly for supporting the baby.

Wrapping and wearing and loving it!

Love everything I learned at mamatoto.org

Is it okay to recommend websites?

My wrap cost $6, and a little practice, but it is so much better than the struggles I had with my first!

www.mamatoto.org is an excellent site!! great recommendation!!

you can use gauze fabric and it will be really light, not stretchy though. maybe something a tad stretchy to start? i find my moby (stretchy) a bit easier with a newborn than my gauze wrap.

OM Goodess!

I just picked up this new carrier and I LOVE IT! Its a wrap that wraps around your body, and is it ever hadny becuase you can do it totally hands free! My hubby is wearing wee Oliver around the house right now where he hardly ever would wear the sling because he didnt feel comfortable letting him hang there. The webpage that was in the package is http://www.peapodcreations.ca ...its called the cuddlywrap. Amzing...totally amazing.

I don't know what I'd do without the mei tai! I've got a 3 yr old and a 2 yr old, and we like walks, so it's soo necessary for us. He loves it, too, goes right to sleep. We don't do babywearing around the house so much, I keep him in arms, and when he's sleeping, he likes to be still..
