Baby is in fact breech. the u/s guy basically could tell before he even put the thing on. He had it on for literally 2 sec, and said "yep, that's a head."

I'm TRYING to have a positive attitude.... we KNOW baby was head down on tuesday night.... and HAD been before.... so, we KNOW baby can go BACK.... we just have to convince it to do so....

we;re trying accupuncture and chiro... in addition to the other things.

sigh..... but since i'm 39 weeks, (40 on tuesday), if baby hasnt turned by monday, mws want us to go for a version. augh.

Oh Moosemommy, not the kind of stress you need right now!

Sending lots of thoughts your direction! You are so right that if babe could get in that position this late is can certainly get right back the other way - go baby, go!

That is not the news I was hoping for. I don't know if you saw in my post on the I'm Pregnant forum, I mentioned a good chiro who is Webster certified if you need one (not sure if its too far though). I have faith that your baby will turn back! Please keep us updated on how the chiro & accupuncture go.

thanks, gals. Becca, I did see that. we have a call into one who is *slightly* closer, but I'll keep you posted. Acu at 830 tomorrow morning........ fingers crossed. DH has decided we're "celebrating" tonight, to convince Baby to come out the Right Way. Sigh...... having a hard time keeping a positive attitude!

Turn, baby, turn!

I just wanted to share that my niece was breech, and my SIL had a version that was successful, they induced right away (after they got her turned) and she was great. Not that having the version and being induced are in your plan for your ideal birth, but at least it doesn't automatically have to mean c-section. Well, I hope that helps a little.

But I know he/she will turn, I've decided.

((((((()))))))) Come on baby we know you can turn back head down for Mommy

Good luck at accu today, are they doing the moxibustion?

Turn baby turn!!

It will happen, baby did it once & can do it again.

I hope the accupuncture & chiro helps, also have you checked out www.breechbabies.com. Some good suggestions there.

Good luck!

Oh, good luck Moosemommy. It's such a mystery why babies do what they do.

I recently learned that my SIL was breech and my MIL - a very proper Long Island lady - announced "they're not cutting me!" and laid down and had an UNMEDICATED version that was completely successful. May it not even be necessary for you.

TURN BABY TURN!!!!!

You could also see an acupuncturist!!! I swear it works!!!! And don't give up hope, some babies just stay that way until the last minute. I'm so sorry that you have to go through this!!!

update, 1 pm 31st..

Thanks, gals! xoxoxoxo

So, early this morning we went for accu. She did some relaxation pins (no idea of terms here, sorry!) on me, then did the mox... (sp??) and taught DH to do it too, so he can do it at home! She was AMAZING. It was my first Accu experience, and I LOVED it. I felt all swimmy (for those who dont know the idea is that you heat up these points on your toes that connect to a water power line (or whatever the term is) that goes AROUND the uterus, so it gets the energy flowing, and helps baby to move! So amazing. I wound up feeling like I was acutally floating IN water.... and even started feeling like I was teaching Baby to swim. Totally unreal and one of the most magical moments of my pregnancy!

Next we went for chiro-- awesome guy who actually had his two babies (both of whom flipped breech at the end as well, and both of whom he got to move back) at the Birth Center where we're going! So awesome. Turns out my right hip was totally misaligned IN and my left ligament was so tight, it was pulling my left hip IN also.... so, no wonder the poor thing didnt want its head down there! He's even coming in tomorrow (on his day off, hello) to check me again. He was SO WONDERFUL and supportive and helpful--- and HOPEFUL!

So, i've got orders for how to sit, to move often, and to keep doing all the other things-- lights, music, tilts, etc....

And we're feeling really good!

Also-- last night I had a bath, and Baby floated half way down! So, now that I'm more open, we're going to try that again tonight.

I've got a good feeling about this. Baby WANTS to be head down, it was just no fun anymore. Poor schnuggles.

Thanks for all the thoughts, chicas! It means a TON to me!!!

Glad to hear it went well! I really hope that the combo of the things you are doing work soon so you don't have to stress about this anymore. I totally believe in the power of chiropractic care (I've seen an amazing change in myself) and I have a friend that actually "induced' her labor by going for accupuncture when she was getting close to 42 weeks and going to lose her HB plans. Really amazing stuff! I will be thinking of you and thinking head down vibes for your baby!

sounds promising - flip little baby, flip!

monday update

so not in the mood, but i hate when i want to hear from someone and they dont post... so, here i am.....

still breech.

I'm 40 weeks tomorrow.

Today at 2pm we meet with the mw to discuss options.

I feel like i want to throw up. DH and I actually mentioned several of my least favorite words this morning, and it just breaks my heart. my pregnancy was nothing like i had imagined such a wonderful thing should be, and now, my birth --my dream, my ideal for so much of my life-- is seemingly evaporating in front of my eyes. it's no fun. i'm trying to be in a mental place where worst case is a version, induction, and hospital but vaginal birth, but i know that worst case, and really quite possible now, is a c-sec. and that is just something that i can not even express how much it terrifies me.... and breaks my heart.

i'm trying to stay positive, and i will keep you posted.
