Luka is biracial so I doubt he'll ever burn. Julian's white but has skin like me- he tans easily and rarely burns. I almost never wore sunscreen as a kid, still don't (although my little sister had to have it slathered on every 5 minutes to keep from burning). I am worried more about chemicals than sunshine, personally. I occasionally use a stick to put it on me and Julian's faces and perhaps shoulders, but that's about it unless we go to the beach or something.
This list: http://www.ewg.org/reports/skindeep2.../Tanning%20Oil has 15 "low" risk sunscreens listed. Whatever you do, I'd stay far away from PABA. I bought some "organic green tea sunscreen" without knowing anything about PABA and Julian had a really bad allergic reaction the first (and only, of course) time I put it on him.
