Vomit in carpet question

Thread Starter
One of my kids threw up on my carpet last week- I cleaned it up as best as I could at the time (while needing to get a load of laundry in, remake my bed, and get 3 kids to sleep) and poured a lot of straight vinegar on it to help reduce the odor.

Now there's a "crusty" spot on the carpet. I don't want to use anything chemical on the carpet because it's MY bedroom and I'm very sensitive to chemical smells. How should I go about cleaning this up?

Get some of BioKleen's Bac-Out. Dd puked on the expensive carpet in the dining room LAST winter, after eating M&M like candy (with colors ) I tried for a LONG time and finally, this past Thanksgiving time, I used Bac-Out and it now it looks like new again!!

You may have to do a few clean and let it dry cycles, but it should work well. I squirt it on liberally and then use my fingers like a rake to work it in. Then wait atleast 15 minutes or more and then take papertowels or whatever you would normally use to blot it out. Whatever you do, don't rub it, just blot it out. Let it dry and see if you need to do it again.

Good Luck!!

After you have gotten it all cleaned up, make sure to sprinkle some baking soda on it and let it sit over night. Vacuum it up in the morning. This will soak up any let over smell. My sister did this the other day and she was amazed at the results.
