im 1/2 way to being able to afford my new storch. the deal is that anything i can sell i get to keep the $$ for whatever i want WITHOUT QUESTION!!! heheheheh!!! so, im getting a brand new Storch!!!
i have already bought all my med. diapers i need, so i am all set with doing this!
all i need is help finding the best price! so, if any of you want to help me shop, i want either an Inka or Ulli (not sure yet), 5.2 size Storch!!!
lets get working mamas and find the BEST price for a Storch out there (not really wanting used, even EC b/c the price difference is so small, kwim?). want my OWN!

Attached to Baby has them for $114 and free shipping. I have no idea how that compares, i just know the owner of Atached to Baby and know that was about what my friend told me a new one would be yesterday. I know what you mean that for another $20 or less you can have new instead of a $85 or so used.

i found one site that has them for $103 plus shipping.

but then another site that has "returns" for $92!!!! not sure if i want to risk that, but thinking about it...

I thought that I'd seen them cheeper than that. here's one for $82 I found on my first google search:

they are kind of tricky. they state those prices, but if you want a 4.6 or 5.2, its an additional amount (17 or so)...so that site has the one i want for $105, w/o shipping. see my delimma???

thanks for looking for me though. i appreciate it.

right now i am deciding between these:
new at $103 total, including shipping
new but returned, at $98
used $83

wwyd?

Wow, that site is so misleading. I knew that they usually charged extra for the longer one's, but every other site I've been on tells you up front that there is an additional charge. :
sorry about that

alot of sites ive seen have started with that smaller price. it is misleading to a point, but when everyone is doing it (almost) i guess i feel its just the way its done.
i just wonder who uses those very short ones. ????

I'd do the new but returned at $98

Check out childrensneeds.com - they seem to have good prices? Not sure what shipping is. I got my Didy from them and it came right away - they had the best price for that a couple of years ago.

im thinking of gettinga 4.6 instead of the 5.2. why would i get the longer one? im sooo confused!
I'd think a 4.6 would be long enough for ya - I'm 5'2" 170 and I can do all the ties - I think you're taller but skinnier!

I also think I'd lean towards the Ulli if you can find one - from what I've been hearing recently the Inka is the heaviest Storch and might be uncomfortable for summer even in NH (though I've never seen either IRL!)

thanks Kristin...

im 5'9 and 185 as of last weeks dr. appt...hopign to be down to around 160 by summers end but you never know.

i just dont want a ton of extra fabric, but i dont want to regret not having more. More is better, right?

It seems like longer would be better. Do you sew at all? Cutting a bit off and hemming it would be fairly easy if you find you consitently have to much. For your earlier WWYD, I would go for the new one at $103, it is only $5 more than the new but returned. I'd like the idea the I am the first and only to use it.

My Didy is 5 yards, and it would be better if it were a bit longer. I can barely tie it in back for some carries and I'm not that big.
