knit along onsie?

I've lost the onsie pattern that I wrote, but still have my handwritten notes. Anyone want to knit along with me as I rewrite the pattern? It's in worsted weight wool. You'll need 2 size 5 and 2 size 3 circular needles. I knit it as a tube so it's seamless and use the "socks on two circulars" method of knitting a tube. If anyone wants to knit with just one circular at a time I can include both types of directions. You'll also need 6 1/2 inch buttons. I'll include optional sleeves and collar as well. The original doesn't have sleeves or a collar because it was intended to wear under clothing. There isn't really a newborn size. It's small or large, and you adjust the length yourself for your baby. I'll help with that too.

So let me know who's interested It has ribbing around the legs and closes in the crotch with 3 buttons. There are also 3 buttons at the front of the neck.

I wouldn't mind trying. I use Magic Loop though, not 2 circs. Whats the gauge? I tend to knit really loose, so I will probably be going down 1 or 2 needles sizes.

I haven't swatched yet, but I'm a loosey goosey too so you'll probably do fine with same needles. I'll write separate instructions for magic loop where appropriate. The only place that it'll matter is in the begining. We're knitting from the crotch up and the front and back are knit separately then joined. From then on it's knit in the round. I'll have separate intructions for short rows and without short rows as well.

I'd love to knit along (though, not to be difficult, but I'm a one circular at a time kinda knitting gal )

Cool!

I'll play too....I'm another "knit on one circular" gal

ACK! Wahooo!!!!! Please don't think I'm insane, but I'm just so thrilled....I just noticed that you're in Lakeport (I'm in Kelseyville)! We moved here a couple of months ago, and I was starting to think that I was the only AP mama up here. So is it just you and me...or are there more of us?

I'm up for it! I'm also a magic loop lover, and I have the 5s but I'm not sure about 3s. Darn those Denise needles that start at 5.

It was nice meeting you at playgroup!!! It's not a totally ap group, I think we're about 50/50. But full of fun mamas.

I'm almost ready. I'm working out the placement of button holes because that's the first part we knit (front crotch). My notes weren't very good.

I can't wait to get started! How was funny is that, that we ended up at the same playgroup today It was nice to meet you and your "borrowed" baby

Ok, I'm ready to start writing it down for you guys.....but first I want to know if you guys would rather all do this one instead... http://interweave.com/spin/projects/onsie.pdf because it's REALLY CUTE. And we wouldn't have to deal with my mistakes if I make them, lol.

This will give me more time to either get this perfected or track down my original typed one.

Ok ladies, lets start swatching for the Hannah's Onsie in the link I gave.

We need it to be 18 stitches and 29 rows = 4inches.

I will wind my yarn and start tomorrow

Cool! I'm *so* in!

And, I know that I, for one, will be in the market for onesies for quite some time ... so knitting more than one pattern surely is no bother

Wheeeee! Itty bitty knitted baby things! Bliss!
