Hello everyone.I'm new here. And I'm in a real bind!I have been looking for over a month and can't find any info on what I'm looking for.I am trying to find a company or organization that has free fabric to give away.I've looked online.I have very limited income so I can't pay for shipping or anything.
The fabric will be used for craft sales at my church.Does anyone have any information in regard to this?Any help would be most appreciated.Thank you all and God bless.

just fabric or yarn, too?

Your best bet would be to find a church member that has connections with a local fabric store or a mill, in order to ask for their absolutely grottiest remnants or seconds. If this doesn't work, start hanging around your local stores so the staff get to know you. TBH, though, with fabrics like everything else you get what you pay for.
Have you tried recycling fabrics from thrift-store finds? That normally works for me.

I have heard that some factories used to give away the scraps - but I've never tried. That would mean of course that there is some kind of fabric related manufacturing going on in your area...

Have you tried your local Freecycle?

I would definitely try freecycle...explain what you're using it for too. There are many people who have tons of fabric, especially after cleaning out a parent's or grandparent's house that they'll never use.

Also, see if there is a local quilting guild in your area. They may be able to help.

If it's for your church, try putting an announcement in the bulletin.

Good luck.
