frustrated by cm

So, I'm getting fertile type cm every other day since Sunday. I don't know what to make of this. First it seemed okay because there was a progression in the type of cm, from moderately stretchy stuff, almost like the lotiony type described in TCOYF to something that was defintely more egg whitish. Then yesterday the cm was back to a more sticky version. I don't temp so I'm going on cm alone.

I don't really even know what my question is. Does anyone else have odd cm patterns? Does anyone chart by cm alone? Temping last time drove me insane and never really helped much.

Just venting because I'm frustrated I guess. I thought we had nailed it and I had o'd. To then have more cm and not what's going on is frustrating...

I just got TCOYF and gave it a good read through. I might be wrong here, but I think what you describe is consistent with what the book describes as typical CM patterns. The egg white and slippery CM are indicators of pending O and O, i.e. fertility. After O, CM becomes sticky or dry. My non-expert opinion is that you Oed and this sticky CM is the after O CM.

Maybe someone else can chime in here too.

I never have the neat stair step pattern shown in the TCOYF charts. I can have an eggwhite day followed by a sticky day, but usually it returns to eggwhite and stays that way fro several days.

Check out the drugs chart near the back of the book. Several drugs can affect your cm, and I'm one on of them so I don't worry too much about weird patterns.

Remember: look at the forest not the trees.
