Clothes Line

I am looking to buy a clothes line. Not sure if we should make one or buy one. I would prefer to just buy one. We do not have a big yard but I have a space where I could put one of those square lines that I have seen on TV (like on TLC/DIY channels). Where can I purchase one of these. I asked at Lowes and the guy looked at me like I was a moron.

Thanks,
Kim

I just saw one in wal mart- it was just a rope really- but nice ya know. Ask a woman! I am getting one too. I want to say it would only be a few bucks or so.
You may also want to post on freecycle or cheapcycle. lots of people move into houses that have lines- etc and just don't use them!

We have a square one that I think you are talking about. It is just one pole and opens up like an upside-down umbrella. We got it at Meijer, which is like a wal-mart or target. It was about $30. I'm surprised lowe's didn't have one. You should call back and ask, because it's possible the guy you asked just didn't know what you were talking about. Try to get a more knowlegable person, like a manager, on the phone.

I have seen them at Target too!

They sell them all over, and Lowe's SHOULD have one. I would call back also, as we've run into a few "less than knowledgable" workers there.

That is exactly what I am looking for! I will call and see and I will even see if they might have one at Walmart. Do you think an Ace HArdware may have them? We have one of those around here that is owned by a local guy.

Off topic: I'm a bit since I just caught the juxtapostion of your user name and your post. "Where do you want to dry the clothes, the clothes line?" "No, on the fence."

I swear I just saw one somewhere around here, Kim, but I can't remember where for the life of me. Maybe Home Depot? Maybe Target?

I agree that sometimes salespeople just have no clue!

I found one today at Ace. They only had one, and I snapped that bad boy up! I was so excited to get it. Total price $45. I am going to have Jeff put it up ASAP.

My mother in law is going to be excited I got a clothes line. She has always hung clothes on a line.

I'm glad you found one, now I don't feel so bad I couldn't remember where I saw it before!
