So far this weekend, I only managed to come up with one big bag of baby clothes for a garage sale.

Worse, I have taken in a few things this month from freecycle including 2 toys for DD and a Maya Wrap (so excited to get this!), hit some rummage sales and got 3 dressy dresses for DD, 2 little ceramic mugs for her also and a kid size Tupperware pitcher (so she can practice pouring) and a bathtub toy and bought 3 pairs of jammies for DD, a pair of shoes she didn't really need but were cute and a coat for next year bc it was on clearance. So this weekend I took in - 15 items!!!!!!!!

Yard sale season is super tough for me as I love to hit them and I always can find something "I can't live without" ... hmmm probably why my house is cluttered huh???

I'm hoping to reach 500 by the end of this week!

It was pouring rain all day yesterday, but we had our garage sale anyway! And we had LOT of folks show up!!! I will be donating/Freecycling the rest of the stuff this week.

Here's a partial list (I'll spare you the details )

old mirror, trunk, wicker table, decorative perfume bottles, 2 purses, 10 books, 4 pr. shoes, 14 CDs, 1 VHS tape, magazine rack, end table, pr. candlesticks and candles, clay and wicker basket w/8 decorative balls, 2 phones, caller ID box, microscope and box of slides, large fishtank, stand and fish supplies, spongebob junk, mr potatohead set, 3 rugs, 19 stuffed animals (on their way to Poland for my neighbor's grandkids ), 4 bath toys, 2 wall sconces.

Total of above is roughly 120 items. I'm now up to 141. Wow, I have a long way to go, but I also have a garage full of stuff to get rid of!

DH and I were pretty happy last night -- he's joining my decluttering kick Oh, I almost forgot -- we took a huge amount of boxes to the recycle center. I'm going to count them as 9 for an even 150

Just a few more things to add from the weekend.

6 pieces of clothing donated
1 litter box in the garbage

121 + 7 = 128.....372 to go

What a day!!!!

Donation to the thrift shop for the local hospital: 118!!! Two carloads

I have a bunch of stuff listed/pending pick-up on Freecycle too (items the thrift store won't take) I'll count those when the folks show up

So, 118+150 = 268

I should still reach 500 (I think!!) because I have not yet counted the clothes and books in the donation pile. YEAH for me!!! and DH too, I suppose

I culled my books last night (but haven't boxed them up yet). Yay!
I haven't been counting but...
2 trashbags full of papers from my office
1 large box of books, movies and CD's
1 trash bag full of old clothes that don't fit anymore
1 large box of clothes too small for my son

....only a ton more to go!!!!
3 more things to the donation bag.

128 + 3 = 131...369 to go.

I plan on doing a ton of stuff this weekend so I can at least get closer to my goal

I accidently found a charity having a silent auction and donated a bunch of stuff that I was sitting on the fence about getting rid of It was mostly items that I think I could have sold, but I am so lazy at times, it was just better to donate it Plus, I'm supporting the arts

So, 47 items to the nice lady last night. And two of my three Freecycle folks showed up today (not bad!!), so that total is 17.

64 + 268 = 332

I boxed up some more items, but I'm not going to count them until they actually make it to Goodwill. I'm horrible about letting stuff sit in the garage!
another big box down and 2 boxes of old books...YAY!!!
One more box of stuff to Goodwill today - 22 items gone.

3 big furniture boxes out to the curb for recycling pick-up tomorrow.

138 items gone, 62 items to go. I'll have to get busy tomorrow to make it to my goal!

I mailed out 4 vhs tapes that I had sold.

My decluttering progress

4 full bags sitting in my front hallway to be put out Saturday morning for pickup!! How convenient that last week a women's charity made a call (which I usually don't answer) and said they would have a truck in my area to pickup this Saturday!! HOW EASY!! They said they'd leave a deduction receipt and EVERYTHING!! I don't know how they calculate these, but whatever. Just glad to get rid of the stuff, and at the same time CAN'T BELIEVE how much stuff I have yet to go!! Trying to go through each room in the house, and I'm almost sure I'll surpass the 10-bag-limit!!

Can anyone explain "Freecycle"? Keep hearing...don't know what it is or how to find one.

Ok, exersaucer and 9 outfits to the consignment shop today... slow and steady

Did some more moving around and organizing yesterday and got rid of some more stuff.

48 items to garbage/recycling
35 items to the donation bag

= 83

131 + 83 = 214....286 to go

I am going to do more today, but I think I am going to change my goal to 250 and shoot for another 250 next month (depending on when this babe decides to show up )

Ack! Last day of April!!!

Ok, so far today:

1 backpack to Freecycler
2 pillows, 2 curtains to "cheap"cycler

Technically, the following items will be picked up this week by a local charity, but since I bagged them and scheduled it this month, I'm counting it

4 coats, 4 curtain sets, 1 slipcover, king pillow and sham, flannel sheet set, full/queen comforter, tablecloth, full sheet set, 8 pillowcases, bag of baby clothes (approx 30 items), several bags of adult clothes (approx 50 items)

342 + 114 = 456
Oh, and I cleaned out my fridge for another 11 items
467

I'm not sure I'll make my 500 mark by midnight!!
I haven't kept count but I've sent

8 bags to Goodwill plus a few bulky toys

at least 10 bags of trash and there's more to come

Monday is Goodwill day and Tuesday is trash day.

There will be at least (maybe more) 1 bag going to each place.

Thanks, Ellie's Mom!! I got on the freecycle site today to join....I'm amazed at how much stuff is out there that I don't know about (like this program)!! I kept hearing about it and thought for sure we didn't have one....looks like a pretty busy group.

Thank goodness my 10 bags got picked up yesterday!! They were late, and I was getting nervous...but all the stuff is OUT OF MY HOUSE!!! HOORAY!! Next is the kitchen. Went to an Estate sale today and bought 2 chairs, though, but HEY...we needed some extra seating, and as I'm decluttering, I'm trying to make things nicer, too. At least they're recycled....AND 1/2 OFF!!
