I figured I'd start this thread since the other one was getting really long and not getting many responses. Maybe you are all off having your babies or something
And I'll be the only one left

I had a tiny bit of cramping that came and went last night (didn't really seem like ctx though) and nothing since. I give up, I'm going to be pregnant forever! My DH is starting to get concerned that I'm not showing any signs of going into labor soon (when I had seemed like it would be any minute before) since I was induced with dd. Of course I was induced because I saw a sOB and it was pretty much my own fault for signing myself up for that experience. Obviously that won't happen this time without a real reason to have the baby earlier than he wants or if I go 2 weeks overdue. I am starting to be a tiny bit nervous that I might actually go 2 weeks overdue though. Never thought that would happen! My due date is tommorrow and I will not be leaving the house or answering the phone AT ALL. I have a MW appt this afternoon, I'm hoping dd will cooperate with that. I'll let you all know how it goes. Ugh....how depressing...I probably will need my 41 week appt for next week

YOu won't be the only one left. People keep talking about babies dropping, and mucus plugs and contractions....other than a slight increase in the number of contractions...nothing happening over here.

Aw Becca - I bet I'll be pregnant longer than you!
Hooray Rynna! I hope it was easy for you.
36 weeks and thankful that I have 3 pairs of shoes I can still wear. My feet look like Thanksgiving Day Parade balloons in the shape of feet. I heard yesterday that my FIL is very impressed that I'm still going to work - yeah points!
I went walking Friday morning for exercise and it took me until today to recover. I don't know why it knocked me out so much, since I had gone to the gym 3 times at the beginning of the week. DH planned to go back to the gym this morning - after about a year out - and was disappointed that I didn't want to join him. Tough noogies! Sometimes just the walk from my desk to the bathroom feels like an ordeal. It seems what you all have been complaining about has finally hit me
Everyone's getting so excited. My mom yesterday was giving me tips about how giving babies just a little formula can help them learn to nurse because it keeps them from being panicked from hunger. Gotta love her.
Did I tell you all that my best friend is pregnant? I'm so excited. She's due just 6 months after me! It's some of the best news ever.
Have a good week everyone!

Hey there everyone!
I'm due today and not feeling a darn thing yet. My old mw had given me a *revised* due date of 3/30, but of course nothing happened on that day either. I did have some contractions one night between maybe midnight and 2, but they did not feel like labor, just strong and frequent braxton hicks. Still, it kind of got my hopes up! Now I'm back to feeling waaaaay too normal. I could be a 42-weeker, too.
Saw my mw & doula last Friday and it was a great visit for me. Almost 1 hr 45 minutes!! Yikes! I felt bad that they both sat there for so long and let me go on and on and ask so many questions, but I needed it - I really did. I've been feeling a little anxious lately and it just was great to get it all out. I felt like I'd been to therapy!
What do some of you BTDT mom think of my theory that it can be scarier to go into labor when you have already done it before - i.e. you know there could come a point when you feel that you *can't* do it any more... My dh says my theory is baloney and I was just as anxious with the other births, but I can't remember that far back.
Hang in there everyone, it's only a matter of days (well, ok, maybe weeks).

You aren't alone ladies! My due date is not for another 3 weeks, so who knows how long I will have to wait. I REALLY want this baby to come early. I am tired of being pregnant, have I mentioned that?
My feet are also swollen like balloons, and I am still having trouble breathing at night. I have taken to sleeping in the lazyboy chair for 1-2 hour stretches in the night. If I am lucky, I can piece together 5 hours of sleep for the whole night. Sometimes, I crawl into my own bed at 4:30-5 in the morning for a few hours of reclined sleep. Not always - I usually wake myself gasping or snorting for air if I lay down too long. I also take cat naps during the day to keep myself rested.
I have had some contractions that come and go, but for the most part, nothing has happened. Sometimes, I almost wish we could just go ahead and induce.

Well, today is my EDD, and I'm still here, no big surprise here!
My MW came for my appointment today. (I just *love* having a MW who does home visits!
Especially since my 2 yo was asleep on the couch until she got here!)
Some good & bad news... the bad news is my fault, I was dehydrated again. (continuing problem.) I *thought* I had been doing OK, but I was pretty dry... so I really need to work on that. Also need to keep up my protein intake.
The *good* news is that my baby isn't posterior anymore!!!
I thought she had turned but wasn't totally sure... the MW didn't feel any arms/legs, just butt/back which is wonderful b/c she was completely posterior last week. Her heartrate was great, she is very responsive and active, and unfortunately still seems pretty comfy in there. My MW is guessing she's 7.5-8 lbs, give or take half a pound. So *we* all think she's ready to come out, just hope she makes her mind up to do so! But my mommy intuition says probably not until this weekend or early next week.
I did get a cervical check (I know they are controversial, but I don't mind the occassional one myself.) I haven't changed for the past 3 weeks, the first time I was checked... still about 70% effaced, dilated 2 cm. So in light of that I have decided to take EPO on the 5-4-3-2-1 schedule my MW suggested, and keep drinking lots of RRL tea. But this is just to feel like I'm doing something, I don't think it'll really make her come out any sooner.
Unlike some here, I still haven't seen anything like a plug or such- I guess this doesn't happen for everyone before labor starts?

My due date isn't until the end of April. I don't know if our marriage can handle me being pregnant another month plus. I'm cranky and miserable, ds is tantruming all over the place (his latest favorite is running upstairs and slamming the door to his room - and staying in there - when something doesn't go his way), and MIL, well, yeah.
My dad's doing better than we really expected, which is good. He still looks a little scary, but is healing. No pathology report yet which is frustrating. Mom's staying up here for a few days since we're only about 45 minutes from the hospital Dad's in, and we're cheaper than a hotel. My sister flew in for the weekend, so ds had a grand time playing with her. I was going to visit Dad today or tomorrow, but will probably put that off because I have a really annoying cold, complete with green mucus. So I *know* this kid's not coming out anytime soon - it'll wait until I'm not sick.
My home visit is on Thursday.
I get contractions *every* time I do dishes. I'm the only one in the house who does dishes (or at least does them right). Doesn't help that my belly's so big it runs into the wet counter, either.
Dh is home today to do house-type stuff, or even garden stuff if the weather stays dry. I re-did my garden layout, again. Hopefully we'll get everything planted that we want to. Last year it was a very sad excuse of a garden - just raspberries, tomatoes, blueberries, strawberries, a rock pile and a burn barrel pile. Aiming for carrots, beans and peas in addition this year.
Dh's boss wanted to send him to Georgia this week for work.
: Luckily boss's wife reminded him about me and the baby (and was quite insistent, or so I hear).

I have a baby! Baby Rose was born this morning at 7:50 a.m. Labour started in the wee hours of the morning. She weighs 9 lbs. 4 oz. and is 21.25" long. I did have a wee bit of tearing that required some stitches. Hope to post photos soon. Her due date was April 06th, that 'false labour' finally picked up! She is a professional suckler, and has been nursing nearly non-stop since 10 minutes after she was born. Kaelynn is a very lovely and concerned big sister :heart. Her labour was almost identical to Kaelynn's as far as the time spent in various stages!

Haven't updated in awhile it has been crazy!!!
I am due in two weeks and 4 days. Nothing is happening, I am back to swimming in the mornings and that is good, people can't believe I am swimming. These sweet old ladies who swim in the real shallow end and talk the whole time to each other think I am some super hero for being there every morning at 6:15 to swim for a half hour. I just do laps now however I am comfortable.
I get back in time for my DH to get breakfast (we live on a campus and we get all our meals from the food line which is in front of where we live). So this morning it was papaya and granola and a little bit of oatmeal. I am not sure of my weight gain yet as I was unable to go to my MW appt last week which I will get into in a minute. I had gained 19lbs last check.
I am in a major nesting mode and cleaned massively last week with the help of my husband. This weekend I was able to clean out the refrigerator and the freezer, my one shelf pantry and my closet that had the girls and my shoes in it also. I also went through a huge bag of boys clothing that my husband found in the boutique (this is a room where you can drop off anything you don't want anymore and take whatever you are going to use). He also found a really nice three-wheeled stroller at the same time. My husband is real good at checking out the boutique more regularly then I so he finds all these great things! All the boys clothes are in great condition high quality so I am set for the first few months *if* we have a boy.
Now what else is going on is that my husband has a hernia.
We have seen two doctors and my dh has decided to go with this one that has tons of experience and does the surgery procedure that he likes. He has spent hours researching it and knows exactly what kind of surgery he wants to have it repaired. The sticky part is that the Dr. recommended we wait until after the baby so he can be with me to support me and baby the first few weeks. Well that is all fine and dandy until the hernia popped out last Tuesday night around 9 pm and he could not push it back in. So, we call the doctor and he says go to the ER. So I am calling around to find someone to come stay with the girls (they are asleep now so they don't even know we have to leave). We leave for the hospital in Waimea (30 miles away) which actually is the same place I will deliver and where my MW group is. So we are seen and he is sedated and the ER Dr. manipulated it back in and and we go home and on the way my Dh gets very sick :Puke from the morphine and the fentenyl and the curvy roads didn't help. SO I told him after we get back a t 5:00am in the morning that he has to be horizontal form then on. I was supposed to have a MW appt that morning at 8:45 am but that would mean drop off my husband and get him situated and head back up to Waimea and I was almost falling alseep driving home as it was. So I cancelled it and called later again to make sure they received my message. well, the scheduler (?) gave me a hard time about it and that was frustrating, I mean come on, you can't help if your DH is in the ER all night and now I need to be with him!
:
Well anyway, it came out again Friday night and after an hour of manipulating it my husband was able to but it back in because he was adamant about not going back to the ER. So we moved up the surgery and it is scheduled for this Thursday morning. I was going to be there anyway for my weekly MW appt anyway so it looks like we will both we seen and I will stay for his surgery and then bring him home.
On top of that my 3ydd now has a fever of 102.5!! I just checked it!
Well when it rains it pours!!
That is my update hope things are less stressful for you all!

Surfmama: Yikes! What a time you're family is having
I hope all goes well for your husand's surgery and he has a smooth and uneventful recovery. And hopefully whatever bug your dd has dries up and goes away!!
JenniferC:
: baby Rose and congrats mama!!
In other news, life continues around here. My maternity leave officially started on Saturday and I'm really happy to be off work
My dh has been pretty sick for the last week and I finally caught the bug over the weekend (achy body, stuffy nose, throat on fire). Glad I'm not due for a while and not having *any* sense of impending *anything* b/c I DO NOT want to go into labor feeling like crap. I had a MW appt today and she confirmed that this baby has been dropping (I think it's been happening gradually over the past week+). Another MW in the office was bug eyed over how much my shape has changed since she saw me 10 days ago - she commented that I suddenly "look term." I'm 38 weeks tomorrow and want this little critter to hang on a couple more weeks....guess I'll just have to "look term" for a little while longer
I have lots of projects to wrap up and one more class to finish (exams this week and next). At least I finally got around to putting the waterproof mattress cover on the bed so I won't drench our new mattress if my water should break. But, still need to set up the bassinet, the changing stations upstairs and down, and pack our bag for the birth center...what a procrastinator!! Now that it's April I'm ready to prepare for this little bug's arrival - it just seemed too early before
Okay, enough
for one afternoon...I have to go get *something* crossed off the list!!

I want to say I'm in awe of all the strong mamas having babies. You all are amazing.
I was reading through these threads and couldn't figure one term out. What's BTDT? I'm a noobmama.
Sorry about everything, lmonter. I hope things get better. Sorry for your troubles as well, surfmama.
This time is already stressful...
Wittyone, I just started maternity leave too. And it feels really odd. It's great to not be rushing around the office and be able to lay down and rest when I need to. But I "feel" like I should be sick to be taking the time off. I'm not used to having free time. I can tell already how important it is going to be for me to have to work on my mommy network, so I don't go completley bonkers. I feel like I'm on the "space madness" episode of Ren and Stimpy.
I also feel like I'm eating too much. I still need to eat, but it feels wierd when you have a huge stomach in front of you and can't walk like you used to. It doesn't help either that I've been snacking on cadburry chocolates from my shower. I don't even like them cause they taste disgustingly sweet to me. I probably just need to go to the market to get milk, eggs, bread, since we're out of these.... hence probably why I'm snacking on chocolate. Ugh.

I was reading through these threads and couldn't figure one term out. What's BTDT? I'm a noobmama.
Sorry about everything, lmonter. I hope things get better. Sorry for your troubles as well, surfmama.

Nothing much to report here. Every once in a while I think I feel a teensy bit crampy, and that's GOOD for me! Never happened before actual labor before. Still trying to clean and straighten up~so much to do~and did A LOT, but not as much as I hoped to accomplish today. Still reading my affirmations regularly, as every now and again I'm seized with birthing fear. (((((HUGS))))) sandi

Well, braxton hicks/contrax have slowed down, but back ache is there along with menstraul like cramps, feel like I am getting my period. So Sunday I had bloody show all day but with nothing other than that. First time I have ever had bloody show, I never had it with my first two so its a new experiance to me. Horrible back pain today as well, I feel like a pulled a muscle. Doesn't help my husband is officially back at work full time and it SUCKS. He is a cook in the army, and one day he is there at 4, so he has to get up by 230AM, the next he has "off" as long as they don't find something for him to do, and that day we can never make plans because you never know and the third day he works the afternoon shift from 1000 to 2000 so its horrible, he has all these new commanders that don't know the family and since every CO and NCO is diff I have no idea how much I will have to fight to get him here when I do finally go into labor. I went into labor on my due date with my daughter and the day I turned 38 wks with my son my water broke and I had to have pitocin, so I am walking on egg shells. Its been crazy and I don't know how to just chill, lol. Thanks for listening

Surfmama, hang in there! My goodness.
My update is, I'm convinced this baby is coming on the 13th, her EDD is the 14 and I figure she'll come on the full moon. Today I had an amazing cranio sacral session given by one of my best friends and it felt SO AMAZING. I want one every day! Instead, I'll go back next Monday. He also said he'd work with my DH so that he can work on me during labor. Yay!
This weekend I walked both Sat and Sun, pretty far distances which totally kicked my butt. It was good to get the exercise but I was totally worn out. It takes so much out of me to really exert myself at all that I seriously am worried about my strength level and ability to make it through labor and birth. I hope adrenaline is going to kick in or something, I'll need a lot more energy than I generally have!
On Friday I was 2 cm dilated and 1/2 effaced. Progress! My feet are so swollen it's totally shocking and I cannot stand to look at them. I can only wear these slipper-shoes that my sister lent me (and I will no doubt ruin) but no one expects me to be wearing anything else at work so that's good. Making progress on work projects so that it feels like life there will go on no matter when this baby comes... didn't really feel like that until now. Also one of my board members is advocating for a real paid parenting leave for me so that I might not have to use all of my accumulated vaca & sick time, which feels great. It feels good to have them believe in me and it will be so much easier to not have to count the days and hours that I'm out. Yay!
Congrats Jennifer C and welcome Rose! Let's have some more baby news!!!
Love to all this week, Marian

Congrats Jennifer! Welcome Baby Rose!

Rose is a beautiful name, it would have been our middle name choice if our baby was a girl
I went to the MW earlier, everything went fairly well. I was concerned that I don't seem to be having to pee as frequently even though I'm drinking the same amount, so I asked her to do a vag. exam to verify he was still engaged. Yep, he's still down there at 0 station at least, I apparently have just gotten used to peeing all the time. I'm still 2cm dilated (probably at least 3cm on the outer portion), and somewhat effaced finally but only in the back portion
I had some weird firm ridge of connective tissue on my cervix on the front portion that she though was due to my last baby being posterior and not putting equal pressure during labor, so thats what my cervix thinks its supposed to do. So she did a cervical massage and said that it seemed to 'melt' away so she thinks it shouldn't be a problem now. I asked her to strip my membranes since she was already there and the cervical massage was kinda uncomfortable anyway. I figured if I was going to be uncomfortable, I might as well see if we could get labor going since my EDD is tommorrow.
I've had a tiny bit of spotting and I'm crampy, but thats not a big deal at this point. I want real contractions or my water to break or something
I know that my cervix still being the same as 2 weeks ago doesn't really mean much since I could still have the baby soon, but its still kinda interesting to know. I'd really love to have this baby tonight or tommorrow
