I'll third Plato's Closet, we have those here too. You can try every brabd of jeans out there in one stop. If she is on the punky side, I would make a day out of thrift store shopping. I was just at goodwill today trying to pull a last minute clown suit off for my DS play at school. They had abercrombie, those are great jeans by the way, gap, levi, express, all of them. Go to the good neighborhoods. I would also try Army Navy stores, you can get Dickies there cheap and who doesn't look cute in the camo pants. Last but not least, TJ MAXX and Ross, if you have either, they usually have the trendy stuff. Have her try on guys jeans though, she may really like the fit, that is all I ever wore up until I got the mommy tummy.

I'll second Torrid...I like them for me and they're more "punk" than any box store.

What about the brand Mavi? I got some at Marshall Fields I think and they were a little pricey (for me- about $60) but they don't come in standard sizes- they are sized like men's jeans with inches so the fit is excellent and she won't have to think about being "too curvey". I also really like the way Ralph Lauren fit me b/c I have a much smaller waist than hips.

The best jeans I have ever worn (and the only ones I DO wear lately) are American Eagle hipster fit jeans.

They're low-rise, but not HEY LOOK AT MY THONG low. They also are well-proportioned for hips.

My curvy preteen had great luck recently at JC Penney's in the misses petite section.

I as going to suggest platos closet also. she will have a lot of different shapes and cuts and styles to choose from, they will already be broken in and you could save some money.

I was thinking she would like the styles of Torrid but i am not sure how small thier sizes go.
