Just wondering if there's any significance to the source of the fluoride. Is all fluoride the equivalent of "toxic waste" for humans, or does that distinction of source make any difference in the toxicity? Doesn't some fluoride occur naturally in some water? And isn't it different than the type of fluoride that is added to public water supplies?
[We have a well and untreated water, and it was my understanding (from my daughter's doctor) that we should have our water tested for naturally-occurring fluoride before deciding about using fluoride drops (which she recommends, in general.)]
So....is sodium fluoride from fluorspar (calcium fluoride) different than the silicofluorides used for fluoridation of public water supplies? If so, could the source make a difference or matter in the topical fluoride you may use?
And does anyone know the source of the fluoride in the pharmaceutical sodium fluoride drops?
