I hope this is the right place to post this...
I am soooooooo grossed out right now! I cannot handle anything with more than four legs. Spiders totally freak me out, although I have gotten to the point where I can kill them if nobody else is around to do so. However, I CAN NOT handle centapeds (sp?) I have seriosuly stayed on a chair for 6 hours waiting for DH to come home from work and kill one. They totally freak me out, this is a major phobia of mine.
We moved into this apartment in Jan. We have a spider problem, at any given moment I can find 5 or 6 on the walls. I've dealt with it, I don't like it, but I can handle it. A few minutes ago and centapede ran across my floor, the thing was the size of my finger. EW EW EW!! Yuck. Thankfully, DH is home and got rid of it.
I need to know how to keep these things out of my house because I can't handle them being here. Any suggestions at all??

The house I grew up in had pedes. Uggh. We were never able to eliminate them. They like damp areas, so if you've got wet spots in your basement, etc., that you can dry out, that might help.
