Stash Buildin', Stash Buildin' (Any Beastie fans out there?)

Remember when I asked if you ever buy yarn without a project in mind? And someone told me that that is what is called "building your stash?" I have just passed through another rite of knitters. I have purchased a very beautiful yarn for no reason whatsoever other than it is beautiful.

In fact, it is so beautiful I should post a photo of it. It's a soft, flat ball whose beauty is not evident on this site: http://www.woodlandwoolworks.com/Kni...akespeare.html. I got All That Glitters. Now that I see this, I am loving Et tu and All the world's, too...

Show me some o' your stash.

Some of us cannot afford to stash. We live skein to skein.

ooooh! I have Shakespeare! It's so soft, but a little tough to work with if you aren't oh so gentle!

Enjoy it...

Nice colors!

As for my stash...
I don't think there's enough bandwidth to hold it all.

That's the only way to knit... buy random patterns and random yarns and hopefully at some point you use all the patterns and yarn, right?

Gosh I'd hate to make a list of all my yarn... I need to knit more!

I loooove Woodland Woolworks. Their "Stash Room" clearance section is a dangerous place, even more than the catalogue!

I had an oopsie, too: the kind of oopsie that I can only admit to today, knowing that my dh won't be near the computer until Sunday night and hopefully site traffic will have buried this post by then...

It's 100% silk, btw, and will eventually be a clapotis. One day, when I get more time.

ooooooooooooooooooooooooooooh purty. I have some lorna's lacews(only one skein in possesion so far)lion and lamb in Tuscany to use for my clapotis. Only a few stitches worked on it thus far. I may reserve it for next fall.

I love stashing.Insersheepish smilie. I think in a way,it can be wise.lol I mean, sometimes I look at the gnormous mound I have stashed away in buckets and I think, oooh that would make a cute_______.Whether I actually do it of course is another subjest.
