I have a question for all you Third time moms....

What were your stats on your 3 births...

Were they past/early....labor times...

I am curious because I am on #3 and the MW yesterday told me that #3 can be wonky and come late and take longer...I had always heard kinda the opposite.

Thanks ladies!! And happy April!!

1st: 36 hour labour. 8lbs 3oz... 4 days early
2nd: 6 hour labour. 9lbs.4oz... 1 day late
3rd: 1h15 labour. 8lbs............ 4 days late (water broke, meconium)

My midwife also said 3rd babies can be unpredictable. It was actually my easiest labour. I'll let you know about baby #4.

not in your club, but...

My first was 4 hours, 3 weeks early.

My second was 24 hours, 3 weeks early.

My third was almost 30 hours, 2 1/2 weeks early, planned homebirth, but transferred after 12 hours at 8 cm (tried EVERYTHING). My third was my first ever epidural.

Now, I am expecting #4 in early May, another planned homebirth, and hoping to return to the stats I had on baby #1!

All that said, let me put out into the universe for you that YOU will have an excellent, quick, gentle, comfortable third birth!

My first was an emergency C section at 42 w 3 d (IIRC--could have been 4d).
No labor whatsoever.

My 2nd was ~40 hrs of labor (started with a little nudge) at 41 w 5 d.

I am almost 38 wks with the 3rd.

The 2 senior obs at my practice have each had 3 kids. My doula has had 3 kids. My LC has had 3 kids. They all think I'm going to be staring 42 weeks in the eye again. (And honestly, I kind of wonder if my "natural" gestation period could be as long as 43 wks... I just haven't had the opportunity to get there.) My big hope is that my labor this time is shorter. 20 hrs. sounds blissfully short. ;>)

MY first was 2 weeks early 6lbs 131/2ozs (I was a teen mom)
11yrs later right on time 8lbs 4 0zs
5yrs later 10 days LATE 7lbs 141/2 ozs
4yrs later 12 days early 8lbs

I'm hoping this one will be on time or early Please not late!!!!

I can't wait to read more answers here, as I'm on my 3rd too. I'll edit after the birth, but so far...
#1 - 3 days past EDD, 8lbs.4oz., 14 hour labor.
#2 - 3 weeks before EDD (but in retrospect midwife thinks EDD was way off, and he was actually a few weeks overdue), 9lbs.5oz., 1 hour 40min. labor.
#3 - TBA

Guess I should include the stats I have..lol

#1 day before EDD 7lb 8 oz, all day half hour apart ctx, 12 hours from getting to hosptial to birth(natural), about 1.5 hours pushing, born at 3pm, boy
#2 10-14 days early 6 lb 12 oz, membranes stripped at 3pm, 5 hours from getting to BC to birth, 20 minutes pushing, born at 8am, boy
#3 I am currently 38+1....wait wait wait...walk walk walk....sex to come...(can someone come babysit for an hour?)..lol

I felt pretty sure this one would come early too...but he is still trying to turn sidways...i spend all day keeping him head down..lol

I've decided with this one when I reach that point in labor where i say no no...dont want to push it hurts and everyone tells me push and he'll be here...i am going to PUSH!! and not think about it..just push and get him out!! I have made that my frame of mine this time!! And we are going to be using homeopathy this time around..so i'm curious how it will help...love the arnica!!

#1-- 4.5 days, 7 lbs 8 oz, 37w3d
#2-- no labor (emergency c-section for prolapsed cord), 6 lbs 13 oz, 39w1d
#3-- 6 hours, followed by c-section (my guess is that I'd have labored no more than 6 more hours, probably less), 6 lbs 1 oz, 36w6d

Try Traumica. It has Arnica and is very calming.
