"Are you ready to have this baby?"

So many people (mostly strangers) have been asking me "You must be so ready to have this baby by now" or "I bet you're really sick of being pregnant." I respond no, I'm one of those crazy wackos that really enjoys the end of pregnancy, and they look at me like I'm nuts. I don't understand why so many people think the end of pregnancy is something to hate! I feel full and ripe and gorgeous. Anyone else feeling the same way or am I really a crazy wacko?

I'm crazy wacko with you mama Everytime I have strong BHs I think woah I'm not ready for baby yet! I'm not due yet either so I may feel differently this time next week! Of course I would be delighted to meet our little one anytime but I'm in no hurry to rush him or her.

I love being heavily pregnant, I feel beautiful, but then I am lucky to not have any real aches or pains. I get the same questions as you and my answer is always 'I love being pregnant, baby will come when s/he is ready'

Glad you are still enjoying being pregnant. I have moments, but have had false labour for 2 weeks+ and morning sickness and heartburn for 9 months, and a restricted diet since July and am frankly really ready!!!





.....and really not quite at the same time. I think I am gaining confidence for the birth, especially because we lost our first one, and when I went into labour with her, she was little and I remember that as being hard, yet manageable. I think I'm afraid of how overwhelming this might be, even though I have moments where I really know I can do it! I also want Boots to be ready. Our official due date is next Friday, so I may feel even more ready next week!

Still enjoying it here too. People look at me like I am nuts also. Just yesterday in fact....someone was very surprised I was in such good spirits.

I find I have no problem being pregnant...just problems with the other crap...like the back pain that makes it hard to walk!

I am, yes. Well, I am getting anxious, but overall I feel great, like YOU said. I am just sick of the comments from everyone else. That is honestly the only part that I am sick of.

I dunno... this hasn't been the greatest pregnancy, and *I* am getting weary of being pg. That said, I know that my babies aren't fully cooked until long after their EDDs, and I have no desire to evict her before she's ready to come out. I will agree that the stupid comments don't make pg any more pleasant...

Well, I'm actually ready to be "done" now. But I can relate, I've been there, had pregnancies where I was really just enjoying hanging out. I hope you continue to enjoy this pregnancy as long as it lasts, and labor goes smooth and easy for you!

Yes, I'm ready to be done. People were saying "you must be ready to be done" "you're about to pop" etc. 3 weeks ago. Now I think I just scare people with my belly hanging out of my shirts (I can't help it) and they don't say anything at all. I'm just too intimidating. LOL

I am officially ready to have this baby... in part b/c of dd, honestly. *She* is really ready to meet the baby. Also I'm finding being pregnant and the mom of a 2 yo is harder than being pregnant and not having a 2 yo. Right now I feel like, "Let's get this show on the road!"

I never really felt *this* ready with dd, I guess first-time mom anxiety and also physically I was more comfortable.

OH how I wish I felt that way this time! With my DD is felt that! I coudl have gone on being preggy for quite some time! I LOVED it! (Even though I was still having morning sickness the WHOLE time! )

But this little one... "He" (We don't know boy or girl but feel boy...) is riding SO down low that the pain on my pelvic area is so great that I could have this child now and be QUITE happy! Which really makes me feel kind of badly, ya know? That "I want this kid out" feeling? I feel guilty for having it, but I can hardly walk from my bedroom to my kitchen or living room without feeling stabs of pain! *sigh* Oh well! These little ones are worth it!! (Even with the pain and still having the morning sickness with this one as well! ) Not to mention all the contrax I've been having! (I am about to post about THAT issue! )

i felt that way with my second pregnancy, ;but with 1 and 3 i was seriously ready to be finished.

I'm 38+ weeks and feeling the same way.

I love being pregnant and so I don't feel ready yet. I AM ready to meet my baby, but not to not be pregnant any more.

I'm wondering if I 'have' to feel ready like everyone says. Will I go to far overdue if I don't?

Ahhh.... so many things to worry about.

I never "felt" ready with #1 and she came promptly - I went into labor the day after my due date. However I appear to have jinxed myself this time. Baby has had a growth spurt this last week and I am now feeling pressure in my pelvic floor and under my ribs at the same time. It's, well, a little uncomfortable I'm still not feeling overly anxious to have the baby though; s/he will come when s/he is ready.

Not a crazy wacko at all!!!! When I was having PTL everyone was calling telling me how lucky I was!!! Yeah, lucky to nearly have a baby in the NICU?!?

I am sooooo swollen and uncomfortable and fat, but I am actually treasuring every moment and don't want this baby to come out for a month! Seriously, and I'm getting the same comments. People look at me like I'm nuts when I tell them that if I go post term (which I actually wouldn't mind) the baby could be in there for a whole 'nother month!
