so we had the midwife bag up the placenta and all that so we could take it home. we were going to plant it under the key lime tree.
well we got home and we couldn't find the placenta, so silly us we thought we left it at the birth center. of course thinking back on it the midwife would have called and said "hey you left your placenta here" but you know we had just gotten home, we were tired and all that. so i don't get around to cleaning up the room a little until about a week after Feeney's birth. i grab the plastic bag that had our clothes and stuff from the birth. The placenta was inside. ewww gross gross. it was all green and nasty looking. luckily we couldn't smell it becaus it was in a ziploc freezer bag inside another plastic bag. i am however suprised the dog didn't find it. i guess ziploc really does work well.
anyways we just threw it out. i haven't told anyone besides my sisters...up until now.
