I am planning on making the committment to only buying free-range, hormone free, etc. meat from now on (we mostly just eat chicken and turkey).
My question is how do you know what brands to buy? We live in an area where the closest natural market is an hour away and so I was wondering if there are brands within the mainstream markets that promise the above mentioned. I thought I heard at one point that "Foster Farms" does free range chicken.
We figure that we might just have to talk to our local butcher and see if he knows any particular farms that practice this way and then go from there.
Also, what about fish? We don't want to buy farm raised fish but how can you tell?
