Playboy is on our side!

(Mods, this is not about sex so please don't delete it.)

In the new issue of Playboy, in the Playboy Advisor column, a woman writes to ask if she should circumcise her baby. They tell her not to, that the prepuce is full of important erogenous tissue, and that any issues with UTIs or STDs can be addressed with hygiene and condoms. An unequivocal no to circumcision. Yay! Think how many men will read that.

That's what I was thinking, too. Hmm, I never thought I would say something positive about Playboy....

DO men read the articles?

Good for them for getting it right, though!

An article about the penis they might be inclined to read!

Funny, DH just recieved his copy today ( and yes he does also read the articles ). He will be happy to see that, as am I.

A small tid bit:

It has long been dismissed as a useless piece of skin, but on closer examination it appears to be similar to the tissue between the facial skin and the mucosa inside the mouth. For that reason, notes David Gollaher, who has written a history of the surgery, the nerve endings of the foreskin have been compared to those in the fingertips and lips. To cut either of those parts from an infant would be considered barbaric.

That's so cool! I haven't bought Playgirl in years. I feel like writing a thank you letter now to the opposite side!

I was under the impression that the vast majority buy it ONLY for the articles.

So glad to hear it!

Wow. Never thought I'd be happy with Playboy!

Does anyone know where it can be purchased on the stand? I've never bought it so I don't know if it's subscription only.
I want to give a copy to my brother in law as well as keep some lying around 'just in case.'
Sad that men listen to Playboy and not hard facts (from hard fact sources) but if that's what it takes, I'm all for it!
Yay Playboy!

What great news. The intactivist message is starting to become woven into the fabric of N. American life---articles in a variety of mags, themes in sitcoms, talk show discussion, internet, casual conversation, medical meetings. . . . .thanks to all the leaders on this board who were there before it was cool.

This month's? Is it April or May I would be looking for?
OK, I really don't want to buy a copy just for this article - would someone who has a copy be willing to copy the page and send it to me? Please?

IT is the May issue, hubby just happily told me about the article this morning. Quirky I will make a copy for you if you PM me your snail mail addy. And yes we BOTH read the articles.
