Help me find a thermometer!

Please! I need a new one, and soon (it's on my birth kit list, and all I've got is the almost dead one we got from the hospital when ds was born). I prefer an oral or armpit type thermometer, and one that'll last more than a year or two.

Suggestions? Thermometers to stay away from?

We have a temporal artery themometer. Our fav ped used it and I found one not long after. DH and i used to get 3 different numbers each with the ear ones..the tempural artery one works great! quick, doesnt bother baby.

fogot...a litle pricy..but at 2am you want to know if your little ones temp is 105 or not....(we've seen it)
