Wool Felt

My local fabric store has wool felt on sale this week. Is this fabric suitable for diaper making, if I lanolize it, or should I just stock up to make play food?

You can make wool felt out of a wool sweater... so I don't see why it wouldn't work as long as it's 100% wool or close to it! I just felted up a sweater that I'm going to make into soakers and I have another old sweater that is already felted/boiled wool that I'll cut up too. I think it would be worth it to go see how it feels! I'd give it a try if the price was right! I have a friend who has soakers made from felted wool sweaters and she likes them.

I might try it. For 2 dollars a yard, I might as well try one. It is 100 percent wool. I'll report back when I'm finished.

Wow, $2y for wool?!?! That is an AWSOME price and yes wool felt works great for covers. 1 layer if it is thick and 2 layers if it is thinner. What fabric store do you have near you? (maybe I have one here, hehehe)

Hmm ,sounds great to me!
Bumpy wool wraps do this nifty thing of being one layer everywhere, but up the middle a strip of extra wool where all the moisture lurks(lol) these worked great for my last Cd'd nipper.
But at ÂŁ18 a go I decided to make my own this time!!!

Let us know how you get along!!!

It is just a local fabric store. It's my favorite one, but it's going out of business, so everything is cheap. I'm so sad that it's going out of business, but I'm going to stock up while the getting is good.
