The title says it all.
My two year old son was complaining of a boo-boo every time he peed yesterday so we headed off to to the ER(normally I would not go to such extreme measures but our 3 month has a kidney infection right now so I am not taking any chances and it seemed my son was in pain every time he peed which is quite often)
After a 3 hour wait and way past everyone's bedtime it looks like our DS's playing with himself has paid off and he has retracted himself.
We also did a urine test(by U-bag) which came back negative but they will be doing a culture.
I want to be sure though that he is really retracted, are there any specific signs I should look for? as my motto the past 2 years is to just leave it alone.
When we move it back he does not complain of any pain and it goes back very easily.
We are treating the irritation which is nasty red looking with some cream three times a day for 10 days.
The Doctor prescribed three days of antibiotics until the culture comes in just to sure
: I guess after two years it was inevitable that our son would be given antibiotics one day.
DF and I really did not understand much of what the Doctor had to say as he did not seem to speak English or French( our two spoken languages) that well.
Not that I would trust a Doctors advise completely anyway so that's what I am here to find out the proper care of my newly retracted son.

So the fact that it just its sore from it being newly detached is most likey right on.
