BeanBean was very sensitive to foods in my diet when I was pregnant and while I was nursing him. I ended up eliminating (entirely!) dairy, eggs, caffiene, and citrus (the hardest!) as well as severely restricting more allergenic foods, if I ate them at all (i.e. nightshade fruits, peanuts & tree nuts, shellfish & seafood, etc). That said, I have a not-very-organic thought: have you tried giving her some mylicon? That stuff works *miracles* in my opinion, and if your little girl is so gassy she can't sleep, you should definately look into it. Eliminating milk might just solve the problem, though, as well as curing any yeast problems you/she might have. Good luck!

I started posting an update, but it turned into a major rant, so I started a new thread instead--no need for everyone to be subjected to that, LOL! Then after reading it, I didn't even want to post it, but I do feel a little better now.

Back to the VE topic... My MW did one at 36 weeks, because she couldn't tell if the babe was head up or head down (he/she was too low to tell anything!), and she was in and out in about two seconds. Best VE I've ever had, and I told DH that later, LOL!

Now I don't know that I would let her last student touch me, because when my MW said that it was difficult to tell which end was down because the babe was "sunny-side up," the lady said, "What does that mean???" Ooof.

Nighten ~ that picture is just gorgeous! What a cute little bug you have

Wow, the boards have been really quiet today. Did that full moon send a bunch of you into labor, or what? There's nothing exciting to report here...I had myself convinced that I'd be going 40-41 weeks and was totally ok with that. Now, at 39 1/2 people are starting to ask "when's that baby gonna get here?" and some of their impatience is actually rubbing off on me! That's so annoying!! I've been so relaxed about it all and I don't *want* to start feeling impatient. Baby will come when baby comes : Unfortunately, my dh's job is just getting worse and worse, but he's hanging in there so he can take paid family leave. Knowing how miserable he is *does* make me want this baby to arrive b/c then he can start his leave (and job hunting!!). I have to say, I really this guy for all the crap he's putting up with for the baby and I!

I'm still around, still pregnant. Jealous of those of you that aren't pregnant anymore and could potentially lay down on your stomach.

I'm basically forcing myself to do some nesting/cleaning. I'm hoping it'll put me into labor tonight/tomorrow, but if nothing else, the house won't look as bad. And I'm making turkey, mashed potatoes and stuffing for dinner tonight. Can we say leftovers?

MIL's being super annoying. I've been venting about her in my blog if you're feeling curious.

Oh, and my dad's doing better (he had most of a brain tumor taken out a few weeks ago). We're not sure what the long-term effect of the stroke is yet, but he's not completely the same person anymore. Although apparently he's hoping for a granddaughter.

Still here - just doing stuff today.

We went and got the car seat installed, I am having semi-regular contraction type things going on.

My fam has started calling... My dad called yesterday...asked me when my due date was again...and then asked what the doctor said. I was like, "About what?" I refrained from telling him we weren't seeing a doc, and responding that I wasn't in labor, and wasn't even at mydue date yet, so there wasn't much to say. You would think after having two kids, he would have some idea of how it works. Of course my mom asked me how many weeks pregnancy was too. Very weird. My mom called on Wednesday...asked me if I had the baby yet. Um, no, pretty sure I would have called you if I had.

And then when I called my sister she said "Have you had the baby yet?!", when I replied no, she said "Then why the hell are you calling." My sister is very sarcastic and has a dry sense of humor.

Other than that...not much happening...

Adina - your whole post is purple and shaking, LOL! But seriously, I'm glad you can laugh at those calls, because I am about ready to behead the next person that pulls that on me!! I am not looking forward to the family get together tomorrow.

Lanna - I was so looking forward to laying on my stomach after my first pregnancy... Then after a couple days I realized that it is impossible to sleep on your stomach while bfing/cosleeping, and even those few times that DH had the baby and I was sleeping, my breasts were so engorged at that point that it hurt anyway.

Well, I really thought for a time tonight that labor might be on its way (crampy and uncomfortable and felt like I was gonna either throw up, have diarrhea, or have a baby! LOL!) It's all gone now though.... (((((HUGS))))) sandi

Due date is..........well today since its after midnight on Easter. i thought things were starting at dinner time on the 15th but they stopped too. man i really want an easter baby now. what a better day to do it. i have all the eggs and baskets hidden. the kids dyed eggs today and they are ready for tomorrows celebration. i really want to have this baby out! my husband is in a wedding and leaves thursday morning!!! gotta have this baby so he can be here for the first few special newborn days. and i would hate for him to not be able to go because of course he cant leave me still preggo. i know that would put me into labor for sure and he would miss it. its all to much pressure.

Due date is today (am of the 16th here), baby is obviously very comfy inside still though! I had a mini freak out yesterday, mostly brought on by everyone else thinking baby should be here. I meditated and said lots of positive belief statements last night and I'm ready to wait until baby is ready again, wow its such a relief not to feel pressure to birth! I'm totally ready and would love it to happen sooner, but more importantly I want baby to be ready and to choose the perfect time

Adina ~ My Dad is the same he seems to think as we get closer to EDD that 'they' can tell exactly when baby will arrive I've also had a few friends assume baby is here just because I'm calling! Apparantly I'm no fun to just chat to any more

When my MIL first started pressing me for an exact due date I told her we hadn't bothered with one since the baby would be choosing its birthday anyhow, but we were pretty sure it would be in the latter half of April...then she asked if we would have a more exact date as the time got closer (I so wanted to say that we'd have a pretty exact date once I was crowning, but refrained). I've also had a few people ask recently if "they" had said if the baby was coming soon...what, b/c my mw's are psychic? People are weird
post #93 of 96
I like the one "Do you think it will be soon?"...

My cousin just asked how do i feel...i told her i wasnt answering that question any longer..sorry....

i'm sure i will continue to hear it..but it was funny on this end. ...lol

OMG that would have been hilarious

Our neighbours just came over, she was due early May and her baby was born Friday, of course I'm happy for them but it has me longing for my baby even more than before.

sml ~ I love the 'i'm not answering that Q anymore'

Quiet today, I hope that means everyone is off birthing little Easter babies

Thanks for the advice Truthfully I've been avoiding the same foods that gave me heartburn during pregnancy, and also have cut back on oranges -- OJ gave me heartburn but oranges were fine, but DH thinks that could be a problem with baby's tum *sigh* which sucks as I'm craving oranges in the morning and need vitamin c to take my iron supps with.

(My blood count was 8 following delivery so I'm trying to focus on getting it back up.)

Anyway, I've since read that Zantac is good to take when BFing for baby tummy issues and the gripe water is totally helping.

I think it's the spices honestly more than anything else. Seems like when I eat something spicy she gets an upset tum so i've been trying to stick with more bland foods.

The only dairy I eat really is yogurt -- very little cheese and I've only had milk once since she was born. And ice cream once. Which is odd as I usually love milk but haven't wanted any (am taking a calcium supp at night though and that plus the yogurt is still over the rec amt).

Anyway we go back for wellbaby visit tomorrow so i'll talk to the ped about it too and see what she suggests. But for now it feels like it's a spice thing so I'm gonna se how bland things work and go from there.

Thanks for the feedback on that picture We put her in the nursery on the bed and then on the boppy and took some pix and they turned out really well DH made a DVD of her first week and we're including it in the announcements to the outoftowner relatives, which I think is brilliant (was his idea, not mine).

Happy Easter
