and it freaks me out! My turning him back on his side and him rolling over again is causing sleep issues. He's 14 weeks old and I'm not confident that he can roll to back from tummy well. he does the opposite all the time. He is about 16 pounds. I woorry about SIDS.
Anybody else having this problem?

Moira rolls onto her tummy every time I put her down. IMO, if they're old enough to do that, they're old enough to sleep on their tummies

How's his neck control? Can he turn side-to-side?

Savannah's been a tummy sleeper since six weeks.

Luka's always slept on his tummy. He's been able to lift his head since birth, so I'm not worried.

Rolling from back to front or from side to front?

If he sleeps on his side, you can try rolling up some receiving blankets and place them along his front to prevent him from rolling onto his tummy.

he rolls from back to front. he's mastering the skill so he is a rolling fool right now.

My oldest did that too so I just let him sleep on his tummy. If they are strong enough to roll usually they are strong enough to keep their head from going face down in the bed.

Daph likes her back but Jevin has always been (and still is at 3.5 years old) a tummy sleeper.

My baby is the only one of my three boys who will actually sleep on his back, the older two were belly sleepers from birth! If he's rolling, his neck muscles are strong enough to move his head. Just be sure there aren't any fluffy/loose bedding around and he'll be fine

Get a baby bumper

I used a baby bumper for my daughter. It is a piece of fabric with two foam cusions on each side. You can adjust the width of the fabric to fit the baby. You lie the baby on its back. The baby can't possibly roll over. I even tucked blankets on each side, so there was no way for it to happen. Of course she is late in starting to roll over, but I heard that was common now that babies are sleeping on their back, and who cares if she is a week or two later doing something that could save her life.

Tori has slept on her tummy since she was 6 weeks also. She's almost 5 months now. And she weighs less than your baby! (13lbs)
