Disgusting Kefir?

Yuck! I am on my 5th batch of kefir and it still tastes and smells just like puke. I am also sick of the organic raw milk I am using going to waste! Any tips?

Does it smell yeasty? If it does you can clean it with filtered water and then add some plain yogurt to give it a boost.
Are you drinking it straight? I cant drink it straight. I put it in a smoothie to make it much easier to drink

Have you read that gigantic kefir thread up at the top of nutrition and good eating? I think there is quite a bit in there on yucky kefir, especially when it is first starting out. Good luck
