find out the sex of the baby?

DH and I decided that we do not want to know. As long as the baby is happy and healthy we are happy!
Nope. Didn't find out with #1 or #2 either
post #3 of 28
I don't know yet. I don't want to find out, but DH does...so I guess there's going to be some compromising going on...
Nope, I didn't find out with the other kids either.

We will not be finding out either. Surprise for us!

With #1, we did not find out. With #2, we found out but didn't tell anyone (well, besides online friends and strangers in the supermarket!) With this one, again we will find out and will probably do the same.

Not sure yet... I want to, and DH doesn't. The only reason I want to know is because if it's a girl, I need to get a whole wardrobe, plus I want to make cute little girly diapers, etc. Last time, we didn't find out ahead of time, and he came very early, so his baby showers were after he was born (while he was still in the NICU). So we were given boy clothes before we really needed them. In the hospital, they provided some preemie clothes, then some friends gave us preemie clothes pretty quickly, so he had stuff to wear there too. If we have a boy again, we're all set, since DS was supposed to be a Sept baby.

Our big consignment sale is in October, and I'm due at the end of November, so if we found out, I could get a nice girly winter wardrobe for very cheap. Some people will give us stuff, but since we wouldn't be having a baby shower this time, I don't expect to get a whole wardrobe. And I'm too cheap to spend $8-15 on an outfit. Go figure.

We will find out. I wouldn't mind having a surprise, but my dh would never go for it. I like knowing and being able to call baby by name, too.

I'm thinking I don't want to this time we found out with the girls but I would like to keep this one a surprise but I haven't been that tempted to peek yet and when that time comes I can't say for sure that I won't let the temptation get the better of me. I work in Radiology so I can go over to Ultrasound and talk one of the techs into scanning me whenever practically. But I'm going to try to stick with not finding out this time.

No, I don't think we probably will. We didn't find out with ds, and it really was such an awesome suprise. Kind of like the biggest Christmas suprise you can imagine, with no way (well, almost no way) of peaking.

On the other hand, it would be nice to be able to think of the baby in terms of "my little boy", and the like.

We're not going to. We want it to be a surprise. We found out with dd and I wish we hadn't.

We found out with our first and probably will again. But I am almost OBSESSIVELY practical so I always do the rummage sale thing to prepare. I like the idea of finding out but not telling anyone.
we found out with the first two, but since we have one of each now, we are seriously thinking about letting it be a surprise this time! I hope it doesn't drive me crazy! ha ha

We will find out adn we will tell people. We keep the name a surprise though until he/she is born. I too, am very practical adn love the idea of knowing I am set with clothes, etc for a long time because I have been able to shop ahead of time.

I, too, like the idea of finding out & not telling anyone. We'll find out for sure, though.

With my first I thought he was a girl until 2 days before he was born. With my second I found out but dh didn't want to know so I kept it to myself until he was born. Boy, was that hard!! With my third I had an u/s around 18 weeks & brought the video home to show everyone.

We can't wait to find out!! We found out with Elle at 16 weeks

We were very happy with our decision to find out with Elle because once we did we started referrring to her by her name and not just as "the baby" This time we are even more anxious to find out so that we can name him/her and start referring to him/her by name to prepare Elle for her new baby borther/sister Right now we ask her where her baby brother/sister is and she says "in Mama's belly"

we will find out for sure--- when he's born.

I'm pretty sure he's a boy though. Shettles agrees.

We will find out. I like being able to pick out names (which we might not tell) and pick out clothing and such. Plus, I want to be able to knit up some girly longies if it is a girl!!! Dh swears he thinks it's another girl, but I guess we'll find out!

We wont find out. We didn't find out with #1 or #2. I didn't have an ultrasound with the first and had only one at 41 weeks with the second. Unless there is some compelling need this time around, we wont have an ultrasound this time either.
