making a pul cover without a serger?

I have some pul I want to make a cover out of, but I don't have a serger. I have the dd aio pattern that I'm going to use. Any ideas of what I should do? Should I just line it with some old flannel so that I don't have to fold over seams? No, i don't wanna do that, it woulndn't be re-usable. Any ideas?

You could use FOE on the edges.

Mine are never as leak-proof as a single-layer FOE one is going to be... But I do cotton print outside, PUL inside (shiny side toward babe), T&T w/ polyester thread. Makes for good daytime/non-nap covers! Cute too...

A more wick-proof T&T option would be PUL outside, lined with microfleece... but I don't like these as much because they're bulkier. (Though I do like them for just laying soakers/prefolds in and using as a sort-of AIO.)

thanks! i might try the cotton print one....did you try drying on hot to close the holes? I heard it helps with pul....but maybe I'm wrong???

I need answers to the same question (I made a post a while back but no one responded). Anyway, what does T&T mean?

Turned & Topstitched. I definitely prefer PUL covers with FOE or serged over T&T. I have one FOE cover that I love that has a cotton print on the outside that doesn't really wick like the T&T ones.
