"CuddlyWrap"! :D

I just got this wrap for my birthday from my dad, and I have to say OMG I love it! I haven't seen anything posted about here, so I thought I would post about it as another baby carrier option!

Here's my review on it:

Product name: CuddlyWrap Baby Carrier

Brief description of product: wrap & tie carrier made of soft, durable, stretchy, high quality cotton.

Store/Site of purchase: Purchased at a store locally. You can find retail locations across Canada and the USA at http://www.peapodcreations.ca

Price: 64.95 (Can $)

How long have you used this product? 1 week

Fit/Sizing: one size fits all

Performance: I can not say enough good things about this wrap. I previously had a Maya Pouch, I've tried ring slings, and also a Baby Trekker infant carrier, and by far this is the best one I have ever used. I wish I had this wrap when my kids were newborns. We're planning on having #3 in the hear future, and I am soooooooo happy I have this wrap now for our little newborn to be. With two preschoolers by that time, I already know the CuddlyWrap will be a life saver for me! I currently have a DD who is 3.5 y/o and a DS who is 2 y/o and carrying them is amazingly comfortable and easy. I love the fact that this wrap is strong enough to carry toddlers/preschoolers. Before, the other carriers I had would hurt my back and shoulders, so I would only use them when absolutely nessessary. Now, with the CuddlyWrap, I'm asking my kids all the time, "Hey, wanna come cuddle with Mamma?" and they love it as well as I do. They are both now always asking for the "cuddly" and I am more than happy to oblige! The fabric is flexible, yet strong at the same time. I can pop my DS in when it is his nap time and still be able to enjoy the great outdoors during the afternoon, or get some shopping done with my DD, it's so comfy he just snuggles right in and falls alseep, this never happend before with the other carriers. The wrap is very ergonomic, and perfectly displaces the weight of my children so that I barely feel I am carrying them at all. I've carried them (one at a time of course ) in the CuddlyWrap to get groceries, and even carrying two heavy bags of groceries and a 30+ pound toddler for a fair distance is no big deal (and I'm not in the best shape of my life either, so the lack of back strain and fatigue during those semi long walks impressed me!). The fabric isn't heavy, but not light weight either. I live in Alberta, Canada and this is a wrap that would be perfect on a hot summer day or a cold winter afternoon, since it seems to mold perfectly to the child and the mamma regardless of what they are wearing underneath.

Workmomship: Excellent. Sturdy, easy to use.

Customer Service/Communication: I bought it from a local store down the street from where I live, and the service there was great. However, I haven't dealt directly with peapodcreations.ca, who make the product. I was impressed however when I was on their site that they are huge promoters of an AP/NFL lifestyle, with a ton of links for resources (including MDC! ), their wraps are carried by the LLL in Canada and the USA (so if there isn't a local retailer near you, you can always order from the LLL in your area). The company appears to be family owned and operated out of Winnipeg, Manitoba, so I'm assuming the product is made under fair employment conditions.

Would you purchase this product again? Absolutely. In fact I plan to buy a few more in the other colours to better match my wardrobe and what I am wearing on that particular day. The colours are basic colours that would go with anyone's style/personality, and since the one my dad bought me was black, even my husband is happy and willing to wear it (he was never wanting to wear the other carriers since he said they looked too girly ) This is the first thing I am getting any new mamma I know as a baby gift. Its basic colour scheme suits anyone's style and the ease of use I think would convince even a Mamma who wasn't inclined, or hadn't even thought of carrying her baby to BF etc etc, to carry her babe.

Additional Comments:

I give it (How many thumbs up out of five?): I definitely give this (5/5)
