New Breastfeeding Chair? - Page 2

I'm with y'all- that chair doesn't look comfy. I'd want arms and leaning back. Oh! And maybe cup rests, or a pocket to put my novels and crosswords in.

Definitely needs arm rests, BUT leaning back wouldn't be helpful for me--I need good back support when nursing so that I don't hunch to my tiny baby. We got a hand me down that we actively call "the comfy chair" that becomes my nursing chair when my babes are birth to around 6 or 8 months, when we need the sofa for space! Ours has arms, low seat, padding behind the knees, etc., and it was FREE!

If that chair was about $600 LESS I might try it. I hate armrests when I am trying to breastfeed, they get in the way. A chair like that along with my Boppy looks like it might work. But there is no way I would ever consider spending that kind of money on ANY chair.

It needs fold-back arms! That way you could use the arms, or not, or use just one (fold the other back to make room for toddler legs). I need one arm at least to support the arm under his head! We mostly lay down to nurse though, so I guess it's moot

WHAT! That is the stupidest design for a nursing chair that I could ever imagine, no wonder perople give up BFing! Hello! arms, rockability, pockets?

If I was going to drop $750 on a breastfeeding chair, it had better have arms.

What an UGLY chair!!! And where are the arm rests???

No arms?

> useless

Meh - the chair lacks arms and doesn't rock.... However, I love the website and bookmarked it. We have a pretty modern style of decorating and it is so hard to find cool children's furniture. I love the Keith Harring wall stickers.

That looks really uncomfortable and I'm also one who needs arms on the chairs. However I've told DH when I finially get preggies again (long story) I WANT a super perfect glider of my choice.

A nursing chair without arms is a recipe for sore arms in nanoseconds.

I think it would be a good chair for those early weeks when being comfortable is all about the nursing pillow but I can't imagine nursing a larger baby or a squirmy toddler in it.

DD nurses now straddling my lap facing me, so this would work for us *now* but not in those early days when she needed to be cradled. The perfect nursing chair? Has arms, cup holder, rocks, reclines, pockets for books/magazines and remote control (I do most of my nursing in the living room) with a foot rest. My rocker that I got for $99 at Kohl's has all of that except for the cup holder.

I can see nursing a toddler in it- with the toddler standing on the floor next to the chair!!!

I fail to see how it is different from my office chair. Which DOES indeed have lumbar support AND has a raisable lap. This is senseless! And no arms? What? I don't care how sensible the back is, your shoulders will hurt if you can't rest your arms somewhere.
