I lost my mucous plug at 8:30 this morning, and started leaking amniotic fluid at 9:30. It's now 2:00 and I'm still not having noticable waves of contractions. I'm thinking (hoping) they're going to start very soon. DH and I just went for a really nice, long walk. It's the first sunny day here in weeks and we saw a falcon! I was having contractions (more painful and strong than the BH's) but not in steady increments.....

3:30... still no steady contractions, but I do think this is it... the amniotic fluid is still coming. The midwife wants me to come in and get checked if I'm still not in obvious labor by 6:00.
I'm not even due for 6 more days and this is my first! Must be the full moon!

8:45 pm.
We went to the MW, who confirmed that is is in fact, amniotic fluid. (I could have told her that!).
She said to call back when contractions are 5 minutes apart, lasting 1 minute for at least an hour.
Contractions are certainly picking up. I think I'm having this baby tonight! Yay!

aaaaaaarg! It's 5:21 a.m and I'm still not really in labor. I managed to get some sleep but got up at 3 because it seemed like the contractions were stopping. Got back in bed... DH tried to give me a pep talk. Finally got up again at 4:30 and the Contractions seem to be picking up again now. My father's here and he made some coffee. I'm going to keep trying to walk around during contractions. I'm taking a homeopathic to help speed things along... If I'm still not "in labor" by 8 a.m, MW wants me to go get a Non Stress Test, since the waters been broken for so long. I'm trying not to get discouraged here.....I feel rested but hope I don't get too tired. Thanks for all the encouragement!

almost 10 am
Things are finally starting to pick up. Contractions are 2-3 minutes apart and starting to get pretty intense!
