Anyone going? I'd love to, if I can swing it.

Yep, I'm planning on going...

I most likely will. Especially since I may be able to get CE credits! If they're taking volunteers to help out, I'd love to do that. I live about 45 minutes from the UW, so it's rather convenient! I'd love to meet up with all you fellow intactivists too if anyone is interested!

I'm in SW-WA, so it's not too far of a treck for me either, and I'm also looking forward to meeting everyone!

Well, I'll be flying in from Utah, but I'd love to meet up with you guys (again, if I can swing the money, getting off work, etc.)

Lucky! I'm from Utah too. But won't be flying in. Does anyone know if they will be tapin or filming any of the sessions and if any of it will be available online? Like livestream or anything?

I don't know about that. The printed version of all the talks at the conference will be available for purchase afterward. (Through Marilyn Milos at nocirc--the ones in the past have been kind of expensive, though. Of course it's less expensive than actually going.)

For those of you who know, how far is the airport from the University of Washington?

Is there a way to see the schedule of the conference? It looks interesting. I would love to go.

About a half hour without traffic. With traffic up to an hour or worse.

We have busses that run to and from the airport and cabs as well. They're putting in light rail, but it's not there yet.

Of course there are rental cars as well.

The schedule will be on the NOCIRC web site when it is finalized, but it is not there yet.

According to Marilyn Milos, the schedule should be done sometime next month. She said that there will be 30 international experts (from 10 or 11 countries) coming to speak!

I wish I could, but alas, it's not in the cards.

I'd be more than happy with providing information for out-of-towners on activities. Seattle is a great city.

I'm driving down from Vancouver, BC, Canada (3 hrs north of Seattle) with other activists from my city. We consider it a wonderful opportunity to be at a history making symposium and will be urging other childbirth workers, lawyers, and activists to get there. We need to have a MDC meetup meeting so we can put a face to all our partners on this board. I'll post a notice on the bulletin board with the letters MDC very prominent and I'll arrange a room and time that we can meet. Can't wait.

YAY! I'm looking forward to meeting you.

But what bulletin board are you talking about?

And I just love my dh so much.......he's not batting an eye at how much this trip is going to cost. He knows that it's important to me.

At most big conferences, there is a bulletin board in the main lobby where you register. It's to leave messages for delegates or to contact others.
I assume there will be one at this conference. Baybee
