Has anyone ever vat-dyed their covers?

I have some leftover procion dyes from Dharma, and some mother-ease covers and BSWW that I'd like to pretty up. My MEOS took color beautifully but I'm not sure how the covers will do. Anyone ever done this?

I've been wondering the same thing! I got a great deal on some BSWW, but they are boring white

Melinda, what kind of "vat" did you use to dye (bathtub, washing machine, stock pot, etc)? Did the dye leave a stain?

I did some in buckets and some in a washing machine. I thought the plastic buckets would stain but they only discolored a slight bit. The washing machine didn't stain at all. It was great fun

unfortunately covers are made of polyester and won't take the dye. Save your dye for cotton!
