What am I doing wrong?

I've got 3 dc (8yo, 4yo, & 2yo) who are really getting to me. I've always been pro GD so that is the approach I take. DH agrees with me but he does have a lower tolerance level than I do. My mom thinks I am doing everything right and can't offer any advice, so here I am.

The DC are all pushing their limits-this I understand. But the 8yo has begun laughing at me when I try to talk to her about her behaviour. This totally infuriates me and I've had to leave the room a couple of times simply so I don't start screaming or worse. She thinks it is funny to get me going and now her brother, the 4yo is starting to follow suit.

What approach should I take?

Don't let her 'get you going'

State your expectations calmly and clearly. If she fails to meet them let her know that she has so failed.

If she laughs just ignore it. A calm serious "you know what I expect" has WAY more effect than reacting to the laughing.
