How Long You Have Been Practicing In solo practice since graduating from Seattle Midwifery School in 1990 (so almost 17 years) but started attending births as an apprentice/doula (before we called em doulas!) in 1984
How Long You Think You Will Practice I'm semi-retired since my son was born in July '05. Been to 4 births since then, have one coming up in January. I miss going to births, but I'm not in a big hurry to be on call again. So the official answer is "I don't know!"

Going on 7 years... I was a doula and apprentice midwife for over two years before that.
I hope to always attend births in some capacity- as long as my presence is requested- but I guess it will depend on what kills me first!

Hospital CNM--but really really really want to be in a birth center/homebirth practice. Kinda slim pickings around here, though.

Who knows? I'm getting worn out from a very busy full-time schedule. I'll last longer going slower, I think! Until my loans are paid off, at least!
