Positive Dr Experience

I had such a positive experience with a Dr I found on the One More Soul website. He's an NFP doc which is great (but that's for another forum ).

When I told him that I was still nursing my 28mo, he just smiled and said that the longest his wife had gone was 3.5 years with their 10th child.

You got me there doc! I had to drive a little ways to get there, but to be able to talk with a doc who supports my choices, that's priceless.

oops

sorry, I just realized that I posted this in Lactivism instead of Nursing past Infancy- can someone move it for me?
Thanks!

Sounds like you have a great Doc there. I have to brag a bit about our pedi too. He has been so supportive of my nursing both of the boys. When ds1 had his first virus at 18months he said to me "Good job mama, that breast milk is keeping him very healthy indeed. If you keep going like this he will never need to see me." A great change from the PA we had been seeing who had tried to get me to wean starting at 6 months. There are some really great dr's out there.
