Officially overdue! 40W+1 I really, really, really want to meet this little one now, no signs of anything though Even the prelabour I have been having for 2+weeks has gone Maybe s/he is hanging out to be a Taurus. I know I'm lucky though as even though I am huge I am not having many aches and pains and my sleeping is ok so I am still happily pregnant Its a beautiful sunny day so we're taking DS out for the day, maybe our last day out as a fmaily of 3

Labour for all of us due and overdue

Renee ~ the DVD is great idea, how cute I love the picture you have picked for her BAs too she is such a gorgeous little baby

Well, I'm glad you're still happily pregnant!

I'm reluctantly still pregnant, definitely achey and ready to be done, really feeling like I'm 42 weeks. I just started a thread about it- I'm wondering if I'm the only one this "overdue" at this point. *sigh*

Today would be a *Great* day to have a baby but I don't think I'll be that fortunate.

Good morning!

I'm 40+5 weeks today, and not feeling impending labor anytime soon. DH made me pack my labor bag to take with us to his SIL's yesterday, so when I went to brush my teeth last night, I couldn't because my toothbrush was in my bag in the car. : Silliness.

Last night I made DH get the video camera to tape my stomach--it was SOOOOOOOO funny! The baby apparently couldn't get comfortable, and there was body parts sticking out everywhere, moving from one end of my abdomen to the other. I have NEVER seen my stomach like that!!! It's almost worthy of America's Funniest Home Videos! DH said it was making his stomach hurt just to watch, LOL!

I am still in disbelief, and have watched the tape twice already. You can actually see a little baby bum come out, then the leg move across...Just like I had an actual baby laying on my lap under a flesh-colored blanket. It was so surreal!!!

Ten days overdue and starting to really swell. Other than that I feel GREAT, although I literally hafta ROLL myself outta bed every morning! LOL! I've slowed down a bit and am putzin' kinda with the cleanin', although stuff is slowly still being done. Can't wait to take my 3yos for a second filling that's fallen out, as I do so love to freak everyone out with my overdueness! ROFLOL! (((((HUGS))))) to all! ~sandi

It's good to see I'm not the only overdue mama here. I'm 40wks 4days over. It wouldn't be such a big deal (besides the fact that I really hurt all over) if I wasn't worried that I won't deliver soon enough to go to my BC... so we're hoping we stay within 2 weeks.

So, now the baby's movements REALLY hurt! I'm not joking, if he sticks a foot out, it hurts like the dickens everywhere! Any movement on his part is painful to me. I'm feeling a tad bitter about this arrangement. I wish he'd just come out and move where there's plenty of room!

Coming back from GIP-- well, I've been reading anyhow off and on despite thinking I should stay away from forums but I can't help myself, even now that I'm home where I usually don't touch the computer!

Congratulations to all those who have already had their babies. I am now getting impatient to have mine. By LMP my EDD was yesterday but I think it is really later since I'm pretty sure ovulation was no sooner than day 16 and also after reviewing info on postdates, with the recalculation for average length of gestation for multipara white women who are presumably middle class, my real EDD is the 20th (actually not a good day to go into labor since DH is finally getting his American citizenship and must go to the ceremony unless he's in a coma). This baby has consistently measured behind a little too. I'm starting EPO inserts this week and maybe some gentle pumping on one side at a time only, being a VBAC I'm not going to mess around with nipple stimulation too much.

It's nice to have company when you're overdue. DS was born at 38w5d after water breaking early (which in and of itself was membrane stripping) and a failed induction at 24 hours-- I'd rather go to 43 than do that again, but it makes me really wonder what his real birthday was supposed to be.

At any rate, I am trying to keep the faith, and praying to go into labor this week, but trying to trust too.

At least I'm done with work-- I suppose an extra week at home with DS before baby is something to be grateful for.

I'm still here. 40+1. I feel like the baby will never come. It wouldn't be so bad if my first wasn't so early. I'm not the happiest lady lately. I really want to have the baby, but I'm trying to stay patient and respect that she'll come when the time is right. It is hard though.

I've been having lots of contractions for the last 3 days, but nothing that stays around. Whenever I have a good one, I think, OK, awesome, lets keep these going! But no such luck yet.

Hang in there ladies. We've got to have these babies pretty soon right?

Not overdue yet...still have till Thursday.

Having more regular contraction type things...but beyond that not much. Hanging out and waiting....

Can't sleep for crap - my neck is stiff from lying in one position all night. But other than that I feel pretty okay. No real swelling, at least any that isn't fixed by putting my feet up. Although, these last few pound are starting to make me look a little pudgy in the face..

That is about it here.

I'm due friday....

Adina..i know what you mean about sleep...I'm doing pretty good, and totally worshipping the chiro!..lol... told him last week i loved him.

I've been having some contractions...gotten pretty regular, but with #2 I had them for weeeekkksss! I'm envious of all you momma who go from 0 to baby so quickly! Hoping for that with #3!

This week are a few meetings and a party friday night that my birth assistant and and I are throwing, so I'm sure he will time showing up to one of those times! They have a way of knowing.... Never thought #3 would be on time.
Stubborn little monkey!

I am not overdue yet either, I am due on Saturday the 22nd. I have been having more frequent and stronger contractions since late last week and all weekend. I was swimming this morning and I had one in the water that made me not able to do my stoke. That was fun.

I just got out my carry on to be my hospital bag. (I am sure I am the last one to prepare that!!) and did the last of my deep clean. Now I have little hot spots to take care of, like the top of my dresser, a pile pf clothes on the floor that are for after baby comes. I need to find a drawer for all of these. A pile of homeschool books that need a home on my shelves...on and on...

I also need to meet with my doula in the next couple days. She is also the La Leche League leader here on the island and we had a meeting here last Friday afternoon. There were 5 moms, two with newborns that were only a few weeks old and they were both homebirthed. They are doing there best to encourage me to have one (which I would love but I have very little privacy here on the campus, I *need* privacy). Then they were going to kidnap me for the night and henna my belly as the one owns the henna studio down the street but I didn't really want one at this point so I passed...

We had a huge community Easter Egg hunt on Saturday with 65,000 eggs for ages 0 to 11. It was a lot of fun and then went to the sunrise service and had an incredible brunch afterwards here at the campus. It was lovely!

That is it from here, Oh yeah!! My husband is recoved really well from his surgery and is feeling fine.

We say: come when you are ready baby!

Still here, but that's to be expected because I'm only 38w3d. I'm so ready to be done. Doing some nesting... Today so far I've vacuumed the upstairs (including taking the little hose to the edges of the the rooms/walls), rearranged the kids' room, changed the sheets on ds's bed, that kind of thing.

Sleep sucks. I can't get to sleep before 2am, which is really annoying. So I can either come downstairs and do something productive like crochet or organize photos while watching Conan O'Brien or lay in bed listening to dh snore for a few hours before I nod off.

Yesterday I had some crampy contractions, but nothing too exciting. Kinda made me mad because with ds I only had (crampy feeling) contractions when I was actually in labor.

Oh, and MIL gave me some money to buy diapers (fun/easy stuff like FB!), so I've been having fun with that.

Dad's doing better, but now there's another fun angle coming into play that may involve litigation/a lawsuit/whatever. Doctors are just really getting on my nerves lately.

I had a super fun time the other day vacuuming all the corners and crevices and on top of the baseboards and any other spot I could find. I don't think I've ever spent so much time vacuuming in my whole life, or enjoyed it so much.

Today I did a lot of walking. Lately when I walk for a while, I feel like my water is going to break. There's just so much pressure down there. I'm hoping that is a good thing. I was walking to the yarn store, imagining my water breaking on the way. I figured I would still have to go in and buy my needles even if my pants were all wet. Sadly, that didn't happen.

Hi just checking in! 37.5 w here! My feet are HORRIBLY swollen... so is my face I went to the fabric store the other day and the awful clerk looked at the picture on my debit card and said, "Boy do you look different in this picture!". If I hadn't had my DD, I would have burst into tears. I have been avoiding mirrors for this very reason and now I don't even want to go out imagining what other people think when they see me

Other than that I'm doing well, healthy and just waiting for baby to come out. If it weren't for the pain from the swelling, I couldstay pregnant forever. I am going to see my acupuncturist tomorrow to see if she can get rid of the water retention. There are some things she can do now that I'm past 37 weeks (thank heavens).

Tonight I'm feeling crampy and have had quite a bit of mucusy discharge and regular ctx, but I don't feel like this is it, yet, ykwim? So I'm still making plans for the rest of the week. Taking DD to the zoo on Thursday, etc...

Hope everyone is well. Its hard to keep up with the baby threads... congrats to all the new babies and mamas! I'm spending less time online these days, so I haven't been keeping up.

Thanks-- I think I can, or at least I have as good a shot as anyone.

Getting very grouchy though, more like GIG than GIP. I had a strong feeling I would be closer to 41 so I shouldn't be surprised, but it's still making me grouchy.:

BTW, is there really any difference between BH contractions and prodormal labor?
That is a fine fine question. Is there?
