CC users, do you have a rewards card?

Just wondering if there are any really great credit card rewards cards out there. We don't typically carry a balance on our current card, but we do use it when we make fairly large purchases and then just pay it off. Currently we have a toys r us visa and for every 1000 spend we get a 10 gift card. Not fabulous but it came in handy the first couple years for odds and ends at babies r us. We are sort of out of thr brus stage so we are looking for another card.
Any suggestions?

We have an airline cc. Northwest to be specific since that is the only airline that sevrices our area. Anything that we can put on a cc, we do. I would have my house payment go on if I could. All of our bills, gas, and grocery go on. Then the cc company automatically charges my checking account every month so I do not have to worry about getting the bill in on time. We pay it all off every month. We manage to earn about two plane tickets a year. Very good deal if you ask me. People have complaiend that the blackout dates are problematic but we found that as long as you book in advance, it is not really a problem.

We have an airlines CC as well and we do the same thing Yooper does - we put everything on it and then pay it off for the miles. We've earned 2 free tickets like that.

Check out MBNA America's platinum card. Very versatile. Cash, goods, or travel rewards (including airfare).

I get a rebate check from my Visa...nothing great but better than nothing...I don't charge a lot so I usually end up with around $20 back...

I have an Amazon.com Visa, which earns me free $25 gift certificates. (You get points for all your purchases and extra points for Amazon purchases.)

It helps pay for my DVDs and books!

we have a TJ Maxx cc and get points if you use it for anything, and extra points if you use it for TJ Maxx, Home Goods and Marshalls. since i love shopping at those places anyway, its cool. we get a GC every few months..usually between $50-100 and we usually shop there for clothes anyway, so its a big bonus for me!

We have a Southwest rewards card and the MBNA Platinum Rewards. The Southwest card is nice in comparison to other airlines because its pretty easy to earn free flights on SW.

We put absolutely everything possible on cc to maximize points. Then we just pay the balance in full each month.

We always pay off our balance. We like to use our Discover card because it gives 1% cash back. Sometimes it even gives us 5% back on certain purchases.

we get that on our citibank mc. 1% on normal stuff and 5% on gas, groceries etc and some stores 5%. It ends up about $150 per quarter cash back.

For everywhere that takes American Express we use it. 1% for everything, 2% for travel, 3% for dining out.

Places that don't take American Express we use our Amazon Visa (someone else mentioned the same one).

I have the same Amex deal, and also Discover, which I only use for whatever they're giving 5% on. I also have a mastercard that gives $25 back for every $3000, and I use that for places that don't take Amex.

I put everything on the cards, too, and get back $100-$200 a year.

We've had the United CC for many years. We've used our miles to upgrade to first class on one trip (so not as glamorous as I thought), get free tickets for DH and me. I haven't had problems with blackout dates because I also book months in advance. So long as you use your credit card wisely (paying off the balance and not buying more than you can pay for) you can benefit from the rewards. We also have a Discover card that gives cash back for a percentage of our purchases. Lately, that appeals to me more than free airline tickets.

Amazon card here too.

Although the "best" offers available now offer 1% back on everything and 5% back on groceries, drug store and gas.

We've got one but I'm too scared to use it. I'm afraid I'll accidently miss a payment. I never considered having them automatically draft the bank account. That's a good idea!

We have a MyPoints card. We use the points for giftcards, gas, etc.

I bank with Wells Fargo and I signed up for their rewards program. Everytime I use my ATM card as a credit card I get "points". I pay all my bills online, so they add up quickly. In just a few months I had enough points to get a $30 Target gift card. I could have gotten an equal amount at many different stores, but Target works best for us. I think it was free to sign up, if not it wasn't much. I wish I had done it sooner!

we have two (one for me, one for dh) citibank dividend mc's. you get 5% cash back on groceries, up to $300. yearly per card. we don't keep a balance on those and get the full $600. back , though we're not spending as much on groceries as we used to, maybe we will get less this year!

We have an Amtrak card that we use "only for gas and on-line purchases", but frankly I'm really pressuring DH to go to cash only. We have a budget that we are supposed to stick to for the above 2 items, and we have yet to hit in in 5 1/2 years of marriage : The perks are nice (free gift certs to eating out, movies, etc.), but it ends up costing us much more in the long run when we don't have a sense of when the money has run out.
